Some absolutely epic battles this year. Great year for MMA
Glover Texeira...What an absolute legend, and all time class act. To see him brutalize Jiri for most of that fight (and I'm a Jiri fan), only to lose in the last minute. And then to see him as the first person in the cage to lift and congratulate Pereira on his last round title win, just amazing. So glad he's gonna be able to fight for the "vacant" 205 belt in Brazil. Crazy, and unfortunate Ank and Jan fought to a draw, but he deserves this next chance for real....
That arm triangle escape from Jiri is the stuff of legends
10:09 look at Trevor Wittman's grin man. A real student of the sport truly appreciating a great piece of work.
I was in the arena for Edwards on my birthday and it will forever be my favorite moment!!
Fight of the Year and KO of the Year both ended up in the 5th round of a title fight. Oh, and Pereira capping off an historic year in the UFC with a TKO of the Style bender himself. Incredible!!💯

It’s one thing that we even had three fifth round title finishes, but even wilder that in all three instances, the winning fighter was down going into the fifth and was the challenger. Add to that the fact that at least in the case of Izzy and Usman they didn’t need to win the last round and they would retain and were some of the top P4P, and this year has had some of the most insane title changes the promotion has ever seen in one year. There’s been some unfortunate ends in main events this year but also some incredible ones.
All incredible fights and finishes. Jiri vs Glover was the highlight of the three. Such warriors, the lot of them!

Leon shocked me real good and it gave me chills hearing his corner yelling at him to stop feeling sorry for yourself. I felt that.
I love JIri's movement, the two injuries I was most gutted about was him and Aspinal. Can't wait till they get back.
First twenty seconds of this video are gold.
They got everything here! Rocky’s corner speech, his interview!, and Pereiras “voy a matarte” before round 5!13:57. Great highlight of these fights.

Leon KO Usman was the best.
Love how happy glover is for Alex full big smile very wholesome
I watched all of these in various bars with the homies and I gotta say how nostalgic this year will be in 10 years
Jiri vs Glover is the modern day Robbie vs Rory
Glover is unbelievable. He was ahead on the scorecards!!! And such a good guy
Jiri deserve an Fighting performance award❤
I love Trevor Whitman, smiling Leon’s celebration even though his guy lost. He’s a legend and a true representative of mma
Its awesome that Glover was a part of 2 huge title fights and 2 of the best fights in 2022.. Hated to see him lose his belt, but at least he played a huge role in Alex winning his
Thanks for including Leon's coach yelling at him. Made it so epic.
Jiri’s fight was insane he looks like a beast

Leon edwards after winning the title- “I believe I deserve a title shot next”
Still gives me chills every time I hear Leon’s corner between round 4-5.
This is by far one of my favorite highligh videos
Leon doing the McGregor walk after he put Usman's lights out was the icing on the cake for me "pvp headshot dead. thats it"

Man Alex's Handspeed, precision and Power!!! Nit to mention his recovery!! This man is built different!
The guys are fierce, I like humble ones, they always beat the shit out of us, congratulations!
8:00 "you got to pull this shit outta fire, Leon" out of fire he pulled. Most epic corner advice ever to pump your fighter. True Rocky shit.
When Edward was yelling into the camera after winning he almost sounded like Arnold Schwarzenegger
"You all said I couldn't do it! LOOK AT ME NOW!!" That one hits different
"That is not the cloth from which he was cut" may be the most well timed line in commentator history
If you are an mma fan, this was the year of upsets and a year of some of the most insane match ups and turn outs. Absolutely amazing year for all us, and terrible year for Trevor Whitman. 😂
Looking back 2022 was a crazy year of title fights. So many titles changed hands. Weili (2), Pereira, Edwards, Prochazka, Moreno, Makhachev, Nunez (2). Crazy.
My favorite thing about the edwards KICK KO is the commentary dawg. Jon Anik cracking his voice cause he yells “NO WAY” so loud gets me HYPEEEEEEEE.
Leon's KO is the greatest moment I've seen in the Octagon. Still get chills when I hear that interview... I was one of those doubters. Goddamn I love this sport!!!
