Idk man usman not acting like most champs that's lost there belts most are focused on getting back in title contention but he is as cool and calm as ice as if that kick never happened. Going on to say he's glad it happened that he feels a sense of relief. Plus saying he'll whipped guys with or without the belt. Leon Edwards better be on his P's and Q's. I sense danger from Usman or maybe it's just me.

He's not a particularly charismatic or outgoing guy compared to say Darren Till, who was the talk of the MMA world on his come-up. Edwards was outright ignored while fans couldn't seem to get enough of Till. In the end though it was the quiet and humble Leon Edwards who became what many hoped Darren Till would be; an undisputed UFC champion. Sadly for Till, he was never the same after getting flat-lined by Jorge Masvidal and is now out of the UFC altogether.

But now, King Leon has to show his dominance. He has to put him out or outclass him for 5 rounds. Can't leave it to the judges. Absolutely excited for this fight. Edwards and Usman are top notch warriors and upstanding gentlemen. Two of the true greats in MMA with an iconic rivalry. From Leon and his team realizing usman dips his head after a counter and they practiced it. To henry cejudo and usmans manager aliz saying he needs to quit dippping his head while they were in the crowd. To being a underdog to the #1 one pound for pound fighter in the world who was about to tie or surpass Anderson silva (I forgot) for most title defenses or consecutive wins. To being in this fight when he lost last time to usman. To the speech from his coach in the 5th and final round being down. To at the last minute executing your gameplan KO head leg kick to a fighter who’s never been knocked out to the post fight interview with all the emotions and him talking to his mom after the fight. This might be one of the greatest moments in combat sports history maybe even sports history. Down and out by everyone to win. That kick was deadly accurate and so well timed and it had power. That’s why Usman folded up so quickly as his legs gave way bc his brain was switched off the lights were out. Leon Rocky Edwards is the champion and I believe that Kamaru will make lot’s of mistakes bc he’s going to be trying extra hard to win and Leon is the kind of fighter to capitalise on them. Leon has heavy hands and a big bad high kick to go with good boxing skills. He can wrestle and shouldn’t be worried about going after takedowns especially from the clinch. His TD defence is as good as anyone. Usman is a beast who has really gotten so much better at striking over the years since they first met and has become the complete fighter pretty much and deserves everything that has come his way but he’s been in lot’s of 5 round wars and he’s even said so himself his body has taken lots of punishment and his knees are almost shot so he only has a few more years left. It makes it so much more important to Kamaru to get the title back bc if he loses this title rematch he will find himself staring at needing to win at least two elimination fights to earn another shot. So much at stake here for Usman more so than Leon bc I think Leon has more years left in his ufc career and he’s more than capable of winning 2 elimination fights especially when Masvidal is definitely Leon’s next fight regardless of winning or losing this fight. Go Rocky

I respect Usman and have been a fan since TUF finale was first time I watched him. Deserves everything he’s achieved and he’s got a record that states a fair case for best ever UFC WW champion. So far he’s lost only twice in his career once as champion. GSP is my all time fav fighter and Jon Bones is my 2nd fav. Connor 3rd. The next few years will really define his legacy and this title belt means so much I hope it doesn’t cause him to make too many mistakes that Leon capitalises on especially if Kamaru throws the wrestling out the window due to pride and tries to stand for the most part. I think he’s to professional for that scenario and he knows Leon has KO power in his hands as well as feet so the smart thing is grind him out wrestling and constantly mixing up with some stand up early each round before going for a takedown and if he gets up take the earliest opportunity to shoot again. I think we see a much more aggressive Usman and I honestly believe Leon will be more confident and try to make more moves in striking and a takedown or two from Leon. Most likely this isn’t going past the 3rd round. KO finish for either fighter just can’t split them at this stage. Hometown advantage will be huge if Leon can make it work for him. It is going to be interesting who can come out victorious but good luck Usman I think you’re going to have to really take him out to win but so does Leon.

Even if he wrestles it’s still dangerous for him , he got took down by Leon in the 1st round , and he didn’t get up until the bell went. Usman is good on top , but bad off his back

I’ve watched this KO over a hundred times and got goosebumps every single time. Best KO in ufc history. From how long was left he was 3-1 down with 2 minutes to go and he land the cross faint headkick so perfect and flush usman’s body was limp before it hit the floor. P4P headshot dead. 🔥 best post fight interview I’ve seen.
