Anyone that thinks Usman had a 10-8 round, doesn’t know how to score MMA fights. A 10-8 only happens when it’s a complete dominant round. Dropping someone twice in an otherwise close round, doesn’t give you a 10-8.

Spectacular fight by both these men
These two went to battle both times they fought. As a spectator, I have massive respect for both of these warriors. Colby getting dropped badly one time and dropped again seconds after only to recover and hit some big shots of his own in the third round. Usman with his improved game each time he defends his belt. You can tell both men knew what they were in for when they fought again and you can tell that because t hey both leveled up their games'. Both improved from their first fight to the second one and as a martial artist, that is the goal -> continuous improvement in all aspects of life.

@@kynginspires8480 can you read? If so, read what I typed again, please. Get that negativity out of here. I praised both fighters. I always do in MMA. Since you thought was a long run on ... You think getting dropped, pretty nicely (twice btw) and coming back to win the next round (on one scorecard) and win the 4th on all three scorecards, shows a lot about the will and spirit of Covington - whether you like him, hate him, or don't even know him. Usman is a monster man, he is the champion for a reason. Usman got rocked at the end of the 4th (second fight) and he rallied back in the 5th like nothing ever happened. That is what champions do.
