I like that part where Craig let himself look open for punches but as soon as Shogun swung a fist Craig ducked under for a takedown attempt. Nice setup. How did their first fight go? I must look it up on his record.

Craig needs to work on his striking defence, as he eats too many shot flushs on the chin/face/head. I mean when his defences are up, he's too tight to strike back and counter a flurry, or move effectively out the way, and when he strikes, his hands never return to protect his face/head/chin.

@@blacksanta7367 Joe Rogan has talked about alternatives in the past on his podcast. Let them fight in the open, like on a field in a stadium. I kno it seems kinda ridiculous but that’s the only way to eliminate the cage or barriers. It would force fighters (wrestlers in particular) to adjust their game. Being pushing opponent up against the cage on a single for example wouldn’t be possible. I understand it’s kind of a wild idea that’ll probably never happen. But in my opinion it would be a more true form of fighting as opposed to using the cage.

Nah bro I have to disagree. Paul is extremely talented and tough but he doesn’t have the wrestling or striking to beat champions at his division. His takedowns are ok but not great and honestly same with his striking. Alex Pereira, Jiri, jamahal Hill ( yes I know he beat him already but I would bet the house Hill would knock him out now lol) , Izzy, Strickland and Bobby Knuckles would all take Paul out if I’m gonna be honest. Look at when Paul did beat Jamahall back then till now. Jamahall hills takedown defense and bottom control has gotten way better and you can actually see improvements. Paul’s boxing is a little more tight and crisp but he still panics and shells up the seconds he gets tagged and goes for a sloppy double leg or clinch’s and tries to pull guard. I can’t see Paul ever getting a title shot tbh.
