This has almost become parody at this point. Every fight starts with Conor praising his guy with "beautiful shot" and then ends in disappointment.

People really act like this is some extreme mismatch just because of how they phrased the title of the show. "Prospects vs Vets." Connor nuthuggers think Prospect = Rookie. And vet = UFC Champion. Most of Those losses are against studs. If you actually watched those vets you would know most of them are in their prime. The prospects also aren’t even as good as a lot of the contender series guys

@@AWBDream what's your point? The way you make it sound is as if these "vets" were like championship material before going on the show. And that these prospects are somehow rookies that are completely helpless. If Chandler had the prospects and still managed to get 7 or 8-0, I bet y'all Connor cultists would be saying "oh Connor got dealt a bad hand. These vets are all washed up UFC rejects with losing records and past their prime."

You can’t just look at their records tho, the vets have fought UFC talent and have more experience and years training. The show is filmed over a month or 2. Some of the guys fought a week or 2 into the show. That’s not enough time to change a guys game or make them that much better when half of that time is cutting weight. Chandler is 100% the better coach but that experience gap is too much. I think if the teams swapped chandler would have a win or 2 but most of the fights go the same way.

@@rhettzkie for theoretical things I can't state it as a fact lmao. Factually these guys have went against higher level guys still, even fringe UFC talent is better than fighting amatuers and regional pros. You'd be surprised in the gap in talent. I've trained with fringe UFC guys and those guys can dog regional pros easily. This season a lot of the vets that got cut had UFC wins and went on a skid or were boring. It's basically guys who made the UFC and got cut vs guys who were never good enough for the UFC. All the real prospect talent goes to the contender series. This is like fringe NBA level talent or high level Euroleague players going against d2 college basketball players.

This TUF could have been good, but all the promising prospects are being drafted to the Contender Series. I have a feeling these are the second rate prospects. I'm sure Conor's coaching doesn't help either.

tbf Chandler is undeniably the better coach, but all the prospects would still lose if he coached them imo. Not enough experience

McGregor needs motivation... BS , needs discipline, poor kids on his side , Chandler is a true champion in and outside the octagon... You can learn more from Chandler... Conor is just a socialitè , like the Paris Hilton of MMA

Everyone is crying about this season saying "Prospects vs Vets is stupid" "It's not fair" With all due respect to the Vets, it's not like they were top contenders in the UFC. There's always "prospects" who join the UFC and fight guys with multiple UFC fights and still win. I swear you guys are just Conor fans trying to find an excuse for his team losing. 0-7

Yeah easy choice. Conor almost looks like he gave up halfway and has to rack lines of coke to keep himself interested. Only ever teaching that lead uppercut that he loves so much lol

They only call Chandler's team vets because they were unsuccessful in their initial run in the UFC. Y'all really need to do more research before commenting.

These are all facts and if the situations were reversed, the stans would be using them. They wouldn't say shit about this season if their guys team wasn't getting swept, but they can't handle their hero not being successful so it's a "shit season"

Will the final fight of this season be one of chandlers guys v another one of chandlers guys?

I tried to do the math: Prospects won an average of 81% of their fights in the past, Veterans won an average of 77% of their fights in the past. This is a very marginal difference, I would say that there is no significant difference. Especially when you consider that the veterans tended to fight the better competition. Partly there are losses against a Merab Dvalishvili or against an Aljamain Sterling and partly the veterans have won against prospects before. Also the age difference is smaller than you think. The veterans are on average 32 years old and the prospects are on average 30 years old. Also a small difference, which is maybe even more of an advantage for the veterans. Even UFC champions sometimes reach their prime at 33-34 years. The experience also speaks clearly for the veterans while they have completed an average of 21 fights per person, the average for the propsects is just 12 fights. Who is surprised that the veterans with more experience, similar records and no disadvantage in terms of age, perform much better? The system is flawed.

That's not the important part. The important part is the fact that each episode is a bunch of just training and filler about 2 of the fighters entire life story.. We get to see nothing about the other fighters in the episode.. or about what its like to be in the TUF house..its just wack.. The producers suck honestly.

Saying that "He'd cracked the TUF coaching" and that he had the right formula to success, praising his boys at SGB. That and the fact that Lee Hammond has been partying on McGregors Yacht ever since they filmed.

In complete transparency some people aren't good coaches has nothing to do with their ability fighting. Love or hate connor he has a good ufc resume. That can't be denied. There's a reason he is the biggest draw in ufc.

The lack of numbers for this series just proves that McGregor is done. The 'Star power' is gone.

Some of them have even lost in their home town promotions where compared to UFC fighters would be considered losing to bums. Like someone else commented these guys are clleearrllyyy second hand ‘prospects’ all the true up & coming prospects are on the contender series. So having these guys fight guys who have already faced the ufc caliber fighters and have the experience on their side is a losing battle imo

I couldn't imagine my jiujitsu coach telling me "beautiful shrimp, boom!" In a suit instead of in a gi, on the floor with me teaching me the technique. But hey Conor fans know everything and their knowledge beats all.

Started feeling bad for Conor after this episode. He seemed genuinely invested and sympathetic towards his fighter. And I liked how he tried to encourage his fighter after his loss. You don't often see this side of Conor.

Conor has lost a lot of his mental clarity and his wealth is his escape route out of any challenging situation now. He used to base his character on his wit, pride, heritage, skill, work and now he bases it on his status, wealth, proper 12 and his gang relations hence his recent irish gangster persona. He is too drugged and drunk to really care that MMA has evolved. I follow him for years and I respect him a lot for certain reasons. I think he is still skillful and talented and that he could give a lot to the game.
