Shes a lovely soul & it made me sad to see her on those crutches. A wise time to retired though having nerve damage you have it for life...

Her kicks are brutal AF but, IMO , her consistency, accuracy and power with them hands did the job in most of her fights. The best of luck to her and her team. Enjoy Life! I wish her the best!

I remember having the GOAT discussion years ago. She’s been the greatest woman fighter, and then just stayed the best for a few more years. Even her loss to Peña was like one of the biggest moments in MMA history. The bar is officially set, and it’s so fucking high there isn’t an active fighter that can reach it. Congrats Lioness!🎉

Been a UFC since the first one nearly 30 yrs ago. The Lioness is truly one UFCs greatest competitors, politest fan friendly and humbly confident. Contrary to some here I dont want to see her come back, hope or wish she would. She's dedicated enough of life to fighting. She's secured herself and family enough to live a happy, peaceful existence doing whatever she likes for the next chapter. Congratulations and exceptionally well done!

(The translator didn't catch it) ...after that she kept touching he face, specifically her nose...That, and her hesitation to fight lead me think Irene came in injured. She also stayed around at the end of the fight in the octagon, like she wanted to be interviewed. I would love to hear from her camp at some point. Congrats to Nunes!

Aldana was asked what are you bringing to the fight, she said MEXICAN. She forgot to bring more than her Mexican head. They always say Mexicans have the hardest head in the fightsports 🤣

Juliana crying in the corner saying nunes was scared ... while nunes accepted the fight and juliana was the one who got injured.

Crazy to only have 20$ on that first fight and making it such a big accomplishment today! A real determined fighter locked in to change her life around!

She went out on top which is fantastic. It would have been cool if she told us it was her last fight in advance as I am sad I missed the PPV. I I wanted to buy this one between Nunez and the Dariush VS Charles fight.but I simply forgot and it did not show up on my feed to remind me until today . She pretty much cleaned out both divisions so who was worth the retirement match? I wanted to see Nunez VS Cyborg II as one of the top 3 take my money fights. I was. Time flies as it was like 8 years ago before she destroyed Ronda and became the lioness but I only really became a fan when she was not too scared to fight Cyborg. Not sure there is anyone in either division who will be champ knowing the best in the world is hanging out with her family and simply allowing them to be shine. Great career Nunez maybe now the UFC Will bribe you with real money if they think they found a worth while fighters in a couple years but it is tough because they pretty much focus on these anorexic types that could use some food in their life to get some knock out power.

Nothing to prove there beat her twice. Valentina is great, though she recently lost. Amanda now vs their fight before is even better and being naturally larger, I believe she'd finish her in a third. Really no point in it, Amanda has nothing to prove having defeated all comers.

I still don't understand why people aren't talking about Holly Holm for the vacant belt, I know she's already scheduled, but she's fought down the rankings for years after her loss to Amanda, and apart from the Viera robbery, she's won every time, INCLUDING ALDANA AND PENNINGTON. I don't know why no one mentions her, I know she's 40 and has had a lot of undeserved title shots but now, when she actually deserves it, no one cares.

It is sad she retired when she is still on top of her game. WMMA in ufc will become less interesting without nunes

Weak fight to leave on tbh Herself and Valentina should have met in the middle at some catch weight with no belts on the line (not that Val has hers atm) and given everyone that fight they wanted to see for the last 6 years. I honestly think she avoided that rematch or even talk of it all this time and given Val just had a loss I thought it might spur her on to try fight her again thinking she had a better shot to get a clear win this time but nope... let my last fight be with someone who's never gotten anything more than a 3 fight win streak and never really been on the 'big stage' before. Bit of dud for me.. still an amazing career by Amanda.
