It’s crazy like he’s speaking so clearly here and in tune with everything. But in more recent interviews, especially with Ariel just recently , he has been more erratic and in a very worrying state. As if he’s was on something. This is the true Conor McGregor we want to see. Maybe it’s because he was in the TUF House. And had a clearer mind and was around fighting. Very interesting to see the dynamics.

The early days of Conor, his bravado and scathing “attacks” on his upcoming opponents really helped him. He’s easily one of the best at mind games. This veteran, more matured Conor is arguably just as menacing. He was this way against Cowboy, and finished the fight without a hair out of place. I’m hoping this’ll be the same outcome. Are you kidding me Cowboy wasn't a comeback fight that was someone they put in front of him so he could win for sure and the Casual fan might think he's still got it well he doesn't and putting Cowboy in front of him actually was a bad thing for Conor he shouldn't of felt like he accomplished anything after that joke of a fight with washed up Cowboy...lol not a hair out of place ha ha yeah it was Cowboy. A lot of people saying he sounds more coherent in this video, I disagree. He goes off on random rants midway through his sentences. He also keeps looking around the room. Not even close to how he acted a few years ago. Worried for him not gonna lie. He used to put thought into what he was saying.

He really did change the game forever…when it comes to trash talking…fighters negotiating the right pay they deserve and of course encouraging fighters to go for the double belt and step out of the comfort zone

You can hear it in how he speaks how bad he wants to be back in the mix full time, shame the injuries have kept him out for awhile but I think hes really gonna make another serious run.

You rarely ever see Conor this relaxed. Still very confident, but relaxed. You love to see it. He's being honest with himself. Even if he loses, ultimately, you just want to see the guy happy. And Conor is someone who has shown that money doesn't bring fulfillment -- he's still fighting to fight, and that is the main aspect of life that brings him life.

I feel like he took the second Dustin fight seriously but got his leg chewed off.

Used to see Brad Katona in the old gym I went to on and off, cool to see that he’s travelled the world training and competing.

Like seeing Coner calm and just have a good interview. Nice to see that side of him.

Maybe it’s not so much that they beat him it’s that they try and rob it in his face afterwards. Look at how he conducts himself after he wins he shows respect to the loser . These other guys don’t seem to get it he talks smack before the fight that’s what the talk is for to build the fight not afterwards that’s how it should be.

It's really entertaining that Conor is here and Chandler is crazy enough by himself already! But I don't know if I am as excited as I would be if they had already had signed the contract to fight and there was a date set on it. Or if Conor's opponent was someone in the top 3 of either lightweight or welterweight like a Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje, Colby or Belal where we could see some real animosity and a potential title fight straight after. Conor taking so long to enter the USADA pool while just doing promotion like this (TUF) on the side doesn't get me as hyped up as knowing he'll fight a top contender soon unfortunately.

This is the stuff I wanted to hear from Conner! His talking about committing himself back to the sport is what he needs and sounds like what he is doing!

I believe he truly wanted to "take over boxing" or at least beat Mayweather and go back to UFC living in the bragging rights. However, losses to Mayweather AND Khabib took that spark from him. I think he tried to force the spark vs Poirier and that destroyed him. He had already beaten Poirier but then ended up on the losing side of the trilogy. He's got to find what type of fighter he is at this point of his career.

No one has come as close to beating Khabib as Conor did. He also would’ve won that third fight with 💎 had his leg not given way. He’s a generational fighter no matter what

I don't think it was the losses, I think it was Khabib retiring. When he came back versus Cerrone I think his eyes were always on the rematch with Khabib. Then Khabib retired at UFC 254 and I think Conor just didn't have the same hunger going into the fight with DP at UFC 257 as he did when the comeback initially started. Then he lost that fight and he looked good in the third fight until he pulled Guillotine but I think he did that because the leg was compromised before it. Conor always looked good when he had something to prove and Khabib retiring threw a big wrench in that. Khabib is the only guy in the UFC he has lost too that he has not also beaten.

He’s been slowing down on the booze too you saw it in his last interview with Mac Productions or whatever there called. He turned the stout down. All though he said it’s so tempting. But he limits him self. I feel this is important role for his next fight.

Luke is crazy though. You can see how Connor appreciates it more because he's not getting all these fights like what he used to, whether it's been injury or whatever the circumstance he wants to get back in it for at least two or three fights a year and he's hungry again. I mean it'd be cool to see him get a win

Hate him or love him, he is the face of the fight game. He brought more money to the UFC than anyone and thus helped increase fighter pay. I wish that this time we can see him fight more often.

Depends on how he loses. He still is or was one of the best strikers we've ever seen. If he gets consistently dropped and KO'd, then I get it. But if he still able to bang on the feet, but loses to overpowering grapplers, it doesn't sting as much. I wanna see how he deals with guys like Fiziev and Gatheje.

He seems in a great place mentally. Hope his leg is good for kicking I'd love to see him put on a vintage performance. If he reclaimed gold again it would be an amazing achievement

I really hope that he wins this upcoming fight against Michael, as long as this time around he maintains his calmness and composure. That is his biggest advantage in the octagon. During his last fight with Dustin, he was in a rush to knock him out and when things started going south for him, he lost his composure, became desperate and panicked, and ended up breaking his own leg. So, I hope this time around he takes time with his opponent and empty his mind without anticipating any outcome.

this is the most grounded i've ever seen Conor in an interview. not gonna lie the calmness is terrifying while he still has his small "old Conor" sass.

I love his individuality. Love hid character he is who he is. And he respects every other individual like him. He is a hustler and he earned it. We are all greatful to witness a individual like him

Khabib is the only fighter who made him realize he could actually end his life in a dark alley. That is humbling to a man like Conor.

Wow, so many haters with narrow perspective. Yes Conor lost to Khabib, but was more competitive than anyone since Tibau. Who else won a round against Khabib? The loss to Nate Diaz was jumping up 2 weight classes and then quickly avenged. Everyone wants to pretend like he didn't demolish cowboy in 40 seconds. Even though cowboy was at the end of his career he was still a top 10 fighter. He was outclassed by Poirier, although the second fight should have been a no contest since his ankle broke. There's no reason to believe he can't be competitive in the top 10 still. The fight with Chandler should tell the tale

Conor is a great speaker. He’s a fantastic salesman. Every return he makes people forget and makes them believe he’s truly back. It’s a great skill because everyone falls for it. I'd love to see Connor take a thorough run at 155 or 170. Start at number 10 and get a four fight win streak and then Title shot. He's an interesting for so many people.

Unfortunately the inactivity has been the biggest shame for not only his career, but the entire sport. He’s close to 35 years of age, it’s too late for a great new tear through the roster. What we can hope for as Conor fans is just a good last 2-3 fights where he retires on top.

Man it feels so good to see a ‘normal’ Connor after so long 😂 and by ‘normal’ I mean not coked up, twitching, grinding his teeth, saying mad shit. In this interview he did kinda seem focused and hungry, a little bit like his younger self. Hope he gets out of that 1 year 1 fight cycle and starts performing and winning. The sport does kinda need its superstar back, atleast for some time now.
