Obviously he would win, but that stoppage was kinda weak

Sanchez fought like a drunk guy literally off the street and the stoppage was so weird. He didn’t even get hit with much and the Mazagatti was like “looks like you’ve given up”

If someone would ask me of a fight in the UFC where someone was paid to lose I would automatically think of this fight. No idea if that was the case but it is what it is. Sure looks like it.

You could already here see that Mirko wasn't adapted to the cage very well

That is reason because he didn't train in cage at all. In 2013. He he started to take cage training on next level. If UFC didn't ban him he would be in belt fight 2016.

@@SnjurCro I know. Nah, he was too old at the time and USADA would be a constant danger. He was still a great fighter, but he wouldn't get the belt with HW division at the time

@@theseeker7692 USADA would not be a danger for him. He was one of few fighters that asked for fights control. Even now he ask for better doping controls and real weights checks just before fights. For him weight loosing and weight check at this time is the worst type of cheating for MMA fights. Just tip that he got tested lot's a of fights and always come clean/negative. He was to fair on UFC we he needed to save his arm after injury with forbidden chemicals that were only possible way to save it. Reward for that was UFC instant ban from competition. Even after negative test by USADA day after. Just remember how much of fighters were positive and removed from fight stats and continued fighting under UFC. Werdum was champion at that time and with 3 wins in the row he would get that title chance. Another problem for UFC was big contract with Cro Cop at that time and low PPV interest. I'm glad only that Stipe took that HW division after.

@@SnjurCro My dude, I love Cro Cop, but he admitted to using HGH which is illegal (I get it under the circumstances and don't blame him for it, as it was due to circumstances), and you can see that he looks a bit saucy despite being in 40s. At the very least, he took some higher doses of HGH

I he worked on is ground game he made further up ladder in UFC but I guess when punch and kick that hard probably not that big of a deal he never took the fight to the ground intentionally when someone tries to get him down trying pulling guard he backs off make you stand back up and turn it into kickboxing fight , love his style he just walks you down waiting to throw that left high kick every time he lands just sapps your will to continue , he might not be the greatest mma fighter but he's knows what people want to see him do put you on The mat with devastating kicks and punches not on the ground having a wrestling or jitsu match it's boring for most fight fans it's a part of the sport but people lose interest spend to much time on the ground , right kick hospital Left kick cemetery a fan favorite he wasn't a trash talker he was all business he wasn't egotistical jerk like lots of fighter at that level mma , I think he should have retired early than he did his age started to affect his ability he got knocked out brutally in the UFC he just got worse glad he didn't leave the sport with a lot of permeant Heath problem , I wish Anderson Silva would do the same before he ends up long term injuries I hated seeing both of those legends fall apart, like UFC but since crocop left then Anderson lost his fire I stop watching UFC like watching Larry Holmes pick Ali apart he was just getting unnecessary damage

As a boxer, it was driving me crazy that cro crop wasn’t cutting off the cage by just stepping over. He literally just followed him around. He could’ve finished way earlier. I love crop cop fights but a lot of mma fighters from that era had that problem

I'm glad you mentioned this. This is part of the reason I argue that Cro Cop never looked the same as he did in PRIDE, in the UFC. He was not the same fighter at any point during his UFC career, even in fights that he won such as this one. It's not just an excuse for his losses in the UFC, it's based on actually watching him fight.
