@@TH4_EO like the other guy said, and the idea of darting away laterally when you're cornered is simple enough, but I imagine having poatan stand in front of you, in range to round kick you at will, discourages you from committing to a single direction, in case he throws something that intercepts perfectly.
Now I know why his nickname is the Diamond. Guy is one of the most durable human beings alive. Physically and mentally.

Days of raging and going with the flow are gone now for Dustin. Obviously he was always a humble fighter but now he just fights for himself, his family and his charity. The fans, the fighters, the fights themselves don't control him at all. He is above these dominions. Wish he could win a championship though. The way he mentions 2 losses to RNC in title fights is just straight up pain. The man could rest peacefully if he gets the gold once.

Representing our humble Louisiana folk. Dustin is a quality individual and I’m proud to claim him as my favorite UFC fighter. Humble in victory or defeat.
Poirier continues to impress.
Congrats Dustin such a great human being that deserves everything good coming to him
Dustin is truly a diamond. Very, very tough guy.
I like the way Dustin said 'Who ain't got ju jit siu' 🔥🙌🏻
Diamond breaks through Iron, I should have known he would have won 💎 what an awesome fight 💥🔥
Joes laugh is contagious 😂
I love the respect at the end. "without fear, there is no bravery."
Dustin the type of guy to give Michael chandler a legendary quote !! "without fear there's no bravery" 🔥
Good win for Dustin, but speaking on Chandler. I truly do believe that he's the most athletically gifted fighter at 155. If he just sharpened up on his skills and his approach to the fight he would become a bigger monster than he already is at lightweight.

That's probably precisely the gap between the elite of the B leagues like Bellator and the elite of the UFC. If your game falters by a hair, the best in the world will pounce onto that weakness without mercy. It's the game of making just ONE less mistake than your opponent.

a 2-3 monster? that is a pathetic monster
Chandler did amazing but loss is. Loss man And Dustin with another dominating performance is just simply fantastic. And massive respect to both of these fighters.
Clear and pure spirit of the warrior
What a great fight!!!! Let’s go Diamond!!!!
Imagine Chandler got the choke after cheating with fishhooking - especially since he got Dustin there after a clash of heads. Dustin is such a warrior for overcoming that and winning that round then submitting Chandler in return.
Big Dan listening to Poirier say that line like a wise old man seeing a younger man do great things
Dustin a real warrior to always fight clean and initiative
Dustin let's goooooooo my man 💪
Chandler is a great warrior no doubt about it 🔥🔥🔥
