If you really pay attention and dont let yourself get mislead by the commentary, you can see that Dustin wasnt really in much trouble, he actually seemed to goof around. It seemed, like he got out of every bad position he was in at will and when he through he usually landed hard, while he deflected most of BSDs shots

Dustin was blocking and dodging the majority of BSD's shots and even the shots that connected didn't have much power. BSD couldn't hurt Poirier.

BSD has a bright future. I think this loss will calm the reckless in him and make him listen more to his corner. If he combines his raw power and natural “killer” instinct with a better fight IQ he might be a problem for the division.

i like that dustin didnt jump in with his full bodyweight on the last punch. it seems like he just wanted to tell benoit to stay down not to kill him. makes also sense with his demeanor afterwards... really a veteran of the sport and very composed in there.
