It makes sense from the perspective that if the guy holding the fence was allowed to, he would just hold the fence as he choked the other guy out, holding the fence gives them leverage in certain situations so I can get why they're not allowed to. But then on the other side of things as soon as you let go like in that one you're literally just accepting your death 😂

The very first time I got drunk at a bar, I mouthed off to a guy in his 40's who laid me out in a similar fashion and to this day I'm so grateful he too noticed I was done fighting and chose not to ground and pound me. That's because you don't understand what you're watching. If you think fighters see things the way you do, then you're grossly mistaken. Fighters go into a fight afraid, angry, scared to get hurt badly or even killed, to lose their spot and therefore money, they hope for win money without which most barely break even. This is not a sport you are watching, it's humans conditioned by promoters and media to have not limits in what they are willing to do to win (survive really, win is a sports term). Most fans are hypocrites and refuse to admit they are not paying to watch a sport because it makes them feel gulty that they bare a responsibility in this violence. Their answer is usually "no one forces them to do this", well no one forces you to watch this.

I’m not a fighter tho so winning clean would never be more important than avoiding a major injury. Bc if he choked him out after grabbing the fence twice that’s getting contested and idk if that’s gonna fly w Dana but what’d I’d say to reporters and to fucking Dana would be “getting choked out is better than getting slammed on my neck, back and head I don’t need the official win bc if there were no rules I used my environment to protect my body.”

Reyes was winning the fight but I think it's better to have a ko win over a decision on paper. But that's just me,

Fedor was slammed on his neck, but he tucked his chin and because of the way he positioned his head he wasn't hurt badly and managed to win the fight. I've scrummed at lock/second row for 20 years and never come close. But put someone in who has no training, and a scrum collapses, and yeah it is much more likely to happen. Front row even more so.
