Best thing that coulda happened to Paige. Rose has matured and gained so much skill, focus and emotional balance... Amazing performance. She should fight someone in the top 5 other than JJ or gadhela next and get a title shot in 7 or 8 months if she wins.

***** Firstly, I don't think that Paige is a top ranked fighter now. She's a hot mma wannabe girl with a huge heart which she showed against Rose (defending multiple rear naked's and armbar attempts). And that's impressive. However, Rose dismantle PVZ and exposed big holes in her striking. Props to Pat Barry. That's the truth.

"Potential" is exactly right. She smoked Joanna and made it look easy. The strawweight division has a demon on their hands now - even worse than Joanna. I see Rose evolving her skills at a similar pace to Jon Jones now.

She could have finished the fight in the second round if she didn't go for take downs all the time and just keep it standing, a lot of these chicks fight like that, just throw few strikes then going for take downs all the time. She was landing every strike on the feet, she should have trusted her hands more and just keep it standing and would have gotten a 2nd round TKO or KO instead of a boring sub in the 5th after humping her opponent for 5 rounds.

Especially when some people were saying she would get a title shot if she beat Rose. Most people knew that if she got in the cage with JJ she'd get demolished, hell tbh I don't think right now there's anyone in the division that can beat JJ because she's just that far ahead. But like Scott said Paige is still very young, she'll learn from this and she'll be back.

You know if you take your emotion out of it and look at the fight with no bias, PVZ is tough sob and was not simple to submit. It's not like she rolled over and gave up. If anything it showed just how gritty she was in the face of adversity against someone much more technically sound and it almost went the distance. She's only going to improve you act like she's gonna vanish after this fight, think again.
