This video paints a really good picture. The contrast of his early years as a banger to the composed and sharpened fighter he became is something to see. I'm no fighter and can't say I've ever had any formal training but anyone who's followed this sport and knows about Robbie can see this.

People say they love bisping finally getting the title. But Robbie was considered a failed prospect. Ten years later he takes the title and defend it twice in fight of the year performances. Robbie was never supposed to reach the heights of the sport. But he did with grit , effort and a never say die attitude. The greatest career resurgence ever.

Sad that Rory was never the same in the UFC after fighting Him. He was a great technician.

Popularity has as much to do with trash talk and charisma as it has to do with how good and entertaining the fighter is. Dudes like Lawler, Dustin, Luque, Pedro Munhoz are amazing action fighters who win a lot, but are also like, just chill dudes that fight. They are not "epic smonk weed gangsta too real" like the Diaz brothers or have some funny quips in an irish accent.

This guy's fights are legendary, he was never in a boring fight. One of my all time favourite fighters to watch for sure. Lawler vs MacDonald 2 was probably the best fight I've ever seen, sadly though, Rory was never the same after that fight.

Robbie has had way to many fights. Will be a miracle if his mind stays intact in later years! Great fighter.

Their are very few fighters where it genuinely feels like you’re watching him make the other person fight for their life. Robbie Lawler is one of them.

One of my favorite fighters of all time

I don't normally comment on the ufc channel, but Lawler is one of my all time favourite to watch. From MacDonald - championship, to losing it, to his attitude toward herb Dean after his loss. He's such a warrior and class act. Have to love a stand-up warrior like Robbie.

He reminds me of hands of stone Roberto Duran, Robbie Lawler is one of my all time favorites he represents fighting at it best, Blood,Guts and determination. There`s no dull moments when he steps into the octagon and if your paying to see him fight you get your monies worth that`s for sure. The fight with Macdonald was what people come to see nothing boring when them two step into the octagon, them two together is a show for all times. Great video.

It’s so hard to not like Robbie, he literally puts it all on the line every time he fights. That kill or be killed mentality. The stare down after the bell with Rory is one of the greatest stare downs of all time.

Robbie Lawler deserves all of our respect. He is violent, professional and always exciting to watch.
