That Tony Ferguson bit at the end gave me the chills. The gesture of giving someone a brand new pair of gloves, is giving that person a sense of pride and self worth/self 🫡 ✊ respect. “It’s the coolest thing that anybody could have ever done to get me into fighting” Whoever did that gave another human a sense of purpose. That sums up the whole fight game for me. Hope this UFC 279 ends up being unreal! And one for the ages. The show of mutual respect between Nate and Tony at the weigh in takes me back to the golden era of Pride. Where everyone was all bite and no bark. We all know it’s gonna be a blood bath or a K.O. We’re getting sick of many fights being all bullshit bark and no bite, with many fighters holding back and relying on strategy this and strategy that. You are there to fuckin fight, so fight. Careful there UFC, perhaps 🤔 start deducting on the scorecards via ref warnings for not engaging. This card is gonna be 🔥 💣.

Elementary school? Bullied. Middle schoo? Bullied. Taken from behind at the recess table by the neck and dragged outta my seat. High school? Eating disorder, hit from behind multiple times whether it was “safe grad” with one of those giant mallets you use to hit each other off balance beams, or getting hit from behind when we were in the middle of a break from playing tag football at lunch. College? Worked at a bar and got dragged off the steps and turned into a pretzel. Had no clue what happened. Shortly after lost my only relationship, old “friends”, self worth and confidence and moved home with my parents, March 2016 That weekend was McGregor vs Diaz. Haven’t looked back since. Though there’s no gyms in my town so I’ve slowly bought my own equipment and trained myself.
Phenomenal series, should include for every series
Tony is such a likable guy. truly a Legend, along with Nick and Nate.
"As far back as I can remember"....Totally thought Nate was gonna quote Goodfellas there at first
Chimaev is such a nice guy full of life and joy!
Even editor couldn't figure out what nate was saying. 😂
Man since Nate's all wrapped up in the UFC, hearing him say "fighting has always been in my life... problems at home, problems at school" man I feel bad for him especially hearing how he talks now. We watched this man grow up on PPV right in front of us, only thing he ever knew. Hope he handles life after this well cuz hes a good guy at heart. Same thoughts for D-rod and Kevin Holland too. Hearing that LA juvenile detention to LA County Jail/Prison pipeline breaks my heart, Im from LA too and its sad how life in these places can take a young man or even a little kid and turn his life upside down or in the best case scenario like these guys turn him into a guy whos got nothing else but the cage and to make money with his blood. :(((( at least theyre making $$$ but what is it worth if you end up like Nate in the end.
There also used to be a story that the Caesar Gracie guys would buy Nick and Nate food any time they showed up to training when they were really young and poor. We train = We eat. Don't know how exactly true that is but it would make sense, especially to how loyal they are about their team and friends.
