I like how Islam at first was always under Khabib's shadow and I think Khabib saw this and stopped coming to his fights maybe to help and now we see Islam become his own person and his accomplishments speak for itself. Congrats Champ, you showed amazing grit and toughness. Porrier is one of the badddest LW ever, touched him up crazy. Islam outstruck him officially, and found the bloodiest last minute subs ever seamlessly. The grappling transitions were so seamless and clean. It’s an mma beauty.

Slowly becoming an islam fan, he looks better every fight, like the way he was willing to stand with Dustin...respect!!!

It's still insane to think how fast he makes his opponents tap or put to sleep. Same with Oliviera, within a matter of seconds they go from standing to on the ground tapping. It's just crazy. One wrong move and it's all over

Makhachev is a good striker, better than Oliveira but I think that without his wrestling, Islam is not better than Fiziev, Gaethje or Conor for example.
