This guy deserves all the respect. I believe the recovery time in Australia had an impact on his first fight. Even with that he went the distance with Alex and still won. Now the true champion is confirmed. Aaaand still !!!

@@VP-kr2vd Saying Islam was at his worst is an excuse though. Islam was at his best both times and what this proved is just how much Islam improved in that time. He had weaknesses that none of his opponents could exploit until Volk. The fact that he eliminated those weaknesses in such a short time is frankly insane. He probably is unbeatable at lightweight now.

Islam was cocky in the first match. After getting his ass beaten by Volk, he received a big reality check. You can check out both fighters during their off-time. Volk went on to make cooking videos, weekend trips with friends, Islam on the other hand trained more and more. They went back to basics, developed better strategies and fixed up his mistakes...and now he won.
With that wrestling/grappling and now the striking. He really is complete at this stage.
