She clearly is way too undersized... especially against someone as naturally BIG AND TALL as Manon. Against smaller opponents, in her natural height and weight, like Zhang, it's pure skills, so Rose is superior to most; but against very competitive opponents who are clearly bigger, taller, and stronger, like Manon here, Rose struggled on the physicality aspect of the game. There was no way she's going to out muscle Manon in the clinch, even though she's better in wrestling and in BJJ!

I thought just maybe she could utilize her superior ft work to get in and out fast enough but credit to Manon she was able to cut her off and land with power. Credit to Rose being the smaller woman to survive in there. Manon name fits her perfectly, she is a beast Rose didn’t have to power to back her up and get Manon to question herself in the pocket as well as successfully completing a takedown with some time on top to get to work. Rose clearly had a chance, had she not broken her finger, been more adjusted for Manon's size, and she had had better corner advice... When the fight began, she showcased how much faster she was, it was actually crazy howfast she was, seeing her exploit Manon's karate-style line fighting by going to the sides. But she couldn't really capitalize on it because her boxing and wrestling alike did not lead very far with how Manon could just use her strength and reach. It actually often felt like Rose was not adjusting to that size in how she grabbed and aimed... Too bad. Her overhands did land though, but they were kinda timid. Manon was tagging her constantly with her jab, which I feel like is the most damage-dealing shot that happened in the fight overall appart from the clash of heads, which is kinda telling. After the headbutt, Manon also started to slow down a lot, she was losing quite a lot of blood and she looked paler and paler. Rose could also have targetted the legs a lot more, it wasn't far from incapacitating her opponent, who also was spamming the side kick without success quite a lot, which she clearly could have used somehow. Overall I feel like both fighters could have showed more skill in the fight, but I still quite enjoyed the performance.

Rose only dislocated it . If she had a cornerman they would of easily popped it in place and she could of fought like normal . Either way she would of got destroyed

That was some high level shit. Respect to these two warriors. Both master strikers. Manon Fiorot had the harder blows but Rose Namajunas was returning fire and working that leg. Deserved winner but without the dislocated finger it may have been another story. Definitely the two best fighters in this division.

Not every day you get paid to spar usually it’s the other way around for fighters.

Erin blanchflied with TAP Manon out with Ease...and Erin is getting that Title Shot next...she's 10 steps ahead of Manon..but when Erin fights her.. it's gunna be Erin all day..🤗😎💪

It's a real shame that Rose injured a finger because now her fans have an excuse not to acknowledge Manon as the better fighter. Hell, even the fans that are not aware of the finger injury are saying "her heart isn't in it anymore." Manon would've won that fight regardless of the injury. Rose was getting her face jabbed in all night.

I think outside the ring Rose has some things going on. She doesn't seem to be herself. I hope she can bounce back. The move up in weight is not a good idea IMO.

It seems to me that most idiots commenting here didn't bother watching the fight. Rose fought with one hand. She broke a finger on her right hand early in the first round.

I'm sorry but that was not a split decision. Maybe a 29 28 but most def not a split. Possibly if roses finger wasn't broken the fight would be different but shit happens.

I don't think you (or a lot of people for that matter) understand what a spilt decision is. A spilt decision doesn't necessarily mean a close fight, it means one judge scored it differently than the other two. You're essentially saying that Rose still should've lost but one judge should've scored it for her? It doesn't really make any sense to look at it that way.

You don't know what a split decision is. It doesn't matter how close a fight is the decision can be unanimous.
