Just gonna leave this from the Unified Rules of MMA : "To be grounded, the palm of one hand (a flat palm) must be down, and/or any other body part must be touching the fighting area floor. A single knee, arm, (not fingers) makes the fighter grounded without having to have any other body part in touch with the fighting area floor." Imavov should not have been deducted a point because according to the rules Dolidze was not grounded.

As an example, during Grasso vs Shevchenko 2, Grasso landed knees to the head of Shevchenko while she was touching the floor with her fingers and those knees were declared legal. That was in Nevada as well, so logically the same should apply here.

I would say Imavov is super technical and is a beast but his fight IQ is super suspect. He had multiple opportunities to finish him but didn't. He fouled again for the 2nd time back to back in two fights, and he kept tying up with him which is where Roman wanted to be when he had Roman hurt on multiple occasions. I feel he had Roman so badly hurt in the first, and that helped Imavov carry the dominance throughout the rest of the fight but he needs to really clean up his fight IQ, because he made several errors that would've cost him the fight against a higher level opponent.

The foul was technically a clean shot. The rules state you must have your palm down and your weight must be on it. Dolidze had all his weight on his legs and just his fingers down. Strike was legal and probably would have resulted in a finish. Instead Imavov was penalized.

I had two and three Dolidze 2 and 3 before the kick to the head! Dolidze literally walked Imavov to the cage every single time in their feet and even right at the bell Imavov was bung walked to the cage. He is too weak to hold most of the 185 class. @@zinidinerahman4168 you're talking as if Strickland had a win streak before that, the guy was on two losses before Imavov and 2-2 before the title shot. I say one more win for imavov is enough to make a rematch, at least imavov isn't carrying two consistent losses and he's doing way more during the fights instead of hiding behind his shoulder the whole time like Sean does.
