100%. I've never been the biggest Diaz fan (either of them), but Nate might have turned me here! To take on a different opponent w/ 1 day notice is amazing! And while Ferguson has been on a bit of a losing streak, the guy is VERY experienced w/ a good record and was undefeated from 2012 to 2020!!!

Most of us have so much love and respect for these two that we really didnt want none of them to lose. But this was Nate's night. He came into the UFC as a young kid and leaves the octagon as a certified legend. To the people saying how can you call a 50/50 fighter a legend, this is not the sport for you. We dont back up just the undefeated guys. What we really want to see is these guys fighting their heart out in the face of adversity, win lose or draw. Thats what's inspiring to the audience, and thats what makes these guys modern day gladiators. And there's none bigger than Nate. Thanks for the memories champ

I'm glad Nate respects him as well. I just wish the matchup happened 4-5 years ago. Tony looked like he lost some intensity, angry Tony in the fight was the most vicious Tony. A "Push", this ain't WWE. You go on a win streak and climb your way to #1 contender. Then you get a championship match. I love Nate, but he never really had a good fighting record, similair to Cowboy Cerrone. He started off 1-1, won 4 in a row, lost1, went 5 in a row, then lost 3 out of 4. Then he only won 10 of his last 18 fights counting tonights. He's an exciting fighter, fan fav, and cool dude. But you don't get no push, you push yourself to #1, and then to a championship.

Two of the greatest! So much respect!
The respect and sportsmanship in this fight was so sick
For Nate, coming into this fight, his camp would have focused on his wrestling, specifically takedown defense, escapes and counters, in preparation for an absolute monster in Khamzat. So I knew his wrestling was going to be that extra bit sharper than Tony's, and it proved to be the decider in the end. Whether either of them choose to make this their last fight, both are legends and were warriors from the beginning till the very end.
@biggertree7063
