Cassius Clay Where can I find that self defence thing? Sounds interesting. I have trained martial arts and know distance in extremely important. Know when to attack and when to counter. He did the thing I expected him to do which was to keep the distance so he couldn't come too close.

So Wanderlei threatened to leave the show or have Chael apologise. End result: Wanderlei didn't leave the show and Chael didn't apologise. Lol, he looked pretty stupid by pulling that fake threat off.

The history of Wand in Pride is wonderful. And i've been a big fan of him. But i dont like (and the majority of my friends), i dont agree with his speech today. And the last years. This "nationalism" stupid what he stands. I dont care about what Chael says. Its funny. Just fools brazilians get angry about this. Everybody can see that Chael is a nice guy. Just hearing English on the way back and forth from the gym should be more than sufficient to surpass Wanderlei's level I would think, but I don't know, I haven't stepped my foot on English-speaking soil myself more than half a week. I must say that it is quite impressive in its own right to be so bad at English as Wanderlei is, it is actually quite an achievement if anything. He is like the inverse of Apollo Acosta, that guy is going to be very good at English soon, love em both though.

@@taggebagge If u are from northern Europe it doesn't count, you are incredible good at english, for a romance native speaker (italian, french, spanish, portuguese) English is somehow harder, probably due to phonetic similarities between german, Dutch etc and english. Btw Silva is dumb dumb ❤

Yes, we share lingustic roots being Germanic languages, and I agree on that, though I have to insert also that many Spanish words etc are also not that very different from English. I personally think that knowing English is a lot more helpful when looking at Spanish etc than what it is when looking at German. Not that I am very well versed with Spanish but you can often guess the meaning of certain words only by knowing English in a way that you can't with the German language. I think one factor that makes Scandinavian countries good at English though it may seem subtle is the fact that we do not dub movies. It is hard to make a child like school etc however, it is not that very hard to make a child watch a movie over and over again, like that of the Star Wars movies and Lord of the Ring Movies. Without a dubbing one learns the English language almost by default. I still know much of the script edged on to my brain of Star Wars Episode III to this very day, just because as I child I would always watch that movie. The dubbing factor, though seemingly subtle, takes away one of the strongest learning insentives for a child has been my stance and I think it is actually part of the reason why Northern Europeans speak English more effortlessly as well. Silva is dumb dumb that is so very true but I cherish my life so wouldn't say that to his face. All the best!

Everybody knows Chael's heel is an act. And if you don't know, get on with the program. Dudes a cool guy, just look at TUF: Jones vs Sonnen, he is actually rather different from his antics and a good coach. Wanderlei wants to leave the show cause Chael won't apologize? Way to bail out on your whole team. Besides, I'd rather have Chael as my coach, Wanderlei fights recklessly, what would he know about game planning.

I mean, if Chael dialed it down a few notches, and said the things that would actually hurt, with enough restraint as to suggest that he deliberated over what the cruelest things to say would be, he might actually be offensive. But his trash talk is so cartoonish, and his PR persona such a ridiculous caricature, that it's impossible to take it seriously. It's perfectly easy to NOT LIKE him, for a variety of reasons, but to take grievous offense to the nonsense he talks? You're ridiculous. The dude is practically the fight promotion version of Stephen Colbert. And yeah, if someone was trash talking me, it might make me angry. This stuff is really showing how differently these two fighters approach the sport. Sonnen just treats it like his day job, including the trash talk which he just considers as part of the deal, and he does it well. Promoting the fight etc. After his Anderson losses he feels the issue is done, but is happy to play the bad guy in Brazil again, to help boost TUF. I don't think Wanderlei sees it as a job, he is still stuck in the Vale Tudo mindset of respect and honour are everything. So he really can't understand that Sonnen didn't mean what he said. To be fair though, Sonnen should've known Wanderlei is a crazy mofo and maybe had a few words before the season to make sure they are on the same page. You could see Sonnen was actually shocked when Wanderlei shoved him, because he believes they can say what they want because its good fight promotion, and don't need to worry about an actual fight breaking out in front of the TV cameras. Wanderlei on the other hand can't help but escalate to violence if provoked.

No matter how much Wanderlei wants to beat Chael he will not. His style is just a buffet for takedowns for Chael he will submit Wanderlei or GnP him. Wanderlei is a grown ass man acting like a 5 year smh

Silva is a legend of MMA & I would not want to piss him off, one of my favourite fighters of all time. Win, lose or draw always exciting. I have no idea why anyone thinks Sonnen will win. Sonnen quits the second he has received the slightest amount of damage or is in the smallest amount of danger. Sonnens submission defence is OK but he has the pain threshold of a 4 year old who has just fallen off their bike. Anderson Silva only had 2 wins by submission in the UFC at the time of the first Sonnen fight and has never been know for being deadly with submissions. Despite this Sonnen tapped incredibly quickly when Silva locked on the triangle. Wanderlei also has great takedown defence and some of the best knees in MMA history. If Chael goes diving in with the power double like he always does he will eat an knee and get ground and pounded into the turtle position. He will have to be carful and time his takedowns which is going to give Silva plenty of time to swing, drop him make Chael turtle and end the fight.

Shogun is a better version of Wanderlei and he got fucking humiliated by Sonnen. "he has the pain threshold of a 4 year old who has just fallen off their bike" That may had been the dumbest thing I've read today. Jones, Silva and Evans all have vicious striking and ground and pound and they stop their opponent in the majority of their wins. Wanderlei is a joke, Sonnen will make him his bitch and piss all over the haters as usual.

riodejaneir10 Sonnen said those things to push Silva over the edge, for Silva to fight him because, Silva avoided Sonnen for a year after Sonnen's suspension. Vinny trains with Sonnen, he's friends with Sonnen. Sonnen paid with two losses to Silva so, he's not starting he already paid the consequences. Is America peaceful, a non discriminatory country? Hell no!!!!! I agree with you on that one but, Sonnen saying Wandy was welcome is true. Besides the Brazilians who live in the U.S. Wandy has been welcomed by American fans. riodejaneir10 You're right Wandy never said anything bad, and Sonnen didn't apologized. He should have apologized after Silva beat him twice but, then again he hasn't said anything bad afterwards. That's why I believe he really didn't meant what he said, and he has said nice things about Brazil on the Joe Rogan Podcast. Yeah I believe the no words just fight kind of thing. I lived in Mexico for 10 years and it was the same thing over there too but, in the U.S. pffff not everyone but a lot of them just run their mouths.

Chael already admitted he over stepped the mark hyping the fight with Anderson. Anderson got over it though, he understood it was Chaels way of hyping the fight. The things Chael said were directed at Anderson Silva and not Brazil. Anderson won the fight and the rematch and it seems that no one in Brazil really has a problem with it considering theyre happy to have him in Brazil and participate in a series of tuf where he is head coach. Get over it.
