Despite seeming arrogant, hes being realistic. These guys are grown men on a program that lasts a few weeks, showing up in the morning is not at all going to change a thing about someone if they dont already have what it takes. At the end of the day, this sport is about the individual and Conor is arguably at the most developmental stage in his own career, he's gotta do whats best for himself before he goes on a reality show, so not being there in the morning is completely justified. He isnt a kindergarden teacher, not to mention there are instructors there more qualified than Conor to actually teach

Technique matters, every inch matters someone who trains in the morning and afternoon can mean a w over someone who only trains once a day. It does matter. Mma is all about styles and theres so much to learn so bullshit, conor should give it his all and if he doesnt then he has no right to get mad at someone. This you have it or you dont is garbage

Realistic? You are an absolute idiot. Basically what McGregor is saying is that people don't need coaching. So Conor doesn't and hasn't ever had anyone training him. No boxing coaches, no wrestling coaches, etc... Your comment is complete ignorance. Conor saying "you shouldn't have to baby them" is his way of saying he shouldn't have to help them become better fighters and improve. THAT is why those guys are there. What a disappointment all the guys on his team must feel having such a cocky arrogant POS person for a coach.

Coach Kavanagh said in an interview recently that even in camp before a fight there's no point in learning a new technique because it takes 4-6 months to master it. In the octagon you can only use what you master, because if you have to think about you're too slow, so I guess in a sense he's right. And those guys should already know their what they miss, there's no point in Conor telling them. He might sound cold and pretentious but I guess he's right.

My guess is that having a good chemistry with your team and showing genuine interest in the people you are trying to teach gives them a confidence and purpose to be there. Telling your team that "weak people bunch up together in times of stress" and not being their as an example really gives them a dismotivated and individualistic impression. You can just tell by the last 10 seconds of the video, that they were laying their heads low. Urijah is known be a coach so of course he will be doing a better job. Even if Urijah had a subpar team, he already has a better chance of his team winning based on his leadership and example. Just my two cents

As a fighter mysellf, when you maintain a relationship with your coach it's a great feel, it motivates you more.Fighters don't need babying but if you see them improving then compliment them, it's like going to the gym and watching a fat person train. When you tell them that they lost weight and they are looking better, it motivates them to do much more. Not giving your fighters attention is a big mistake to many coaches make. They even lose champions because they make them feel unwanted

+Chuck Norris Connor is a vampire. He gets his energy by stressing other people out, and he does it when he is safe and when the target is vulnerable. I bet in his gym there are people who are out of energy and are not improving cause of him. Faber must be exactly the opposite and give energy to his teamates aka a leader.

The second TUF fight of USA vs Europe was very close, and Europe won the 3rd, so Connor deserves some credit. The 2nd fight guy wouldn't even take Connors advice. He may be more motivated to do just 1 training session a day, 2 would be a drag. It's about quality vs quantity.

Conor's right. I'm young but I'm lucky enough to have experienced real adversity in fighting, what his guy did on episode 3 was give into his fear and more negative emotions. It's hard to watch. You can however bring these guys up and teach them to respect themselves as warriors and not choose to quit when it gets tough. Fighting is a representation of who you are as a man. And guys like Faber and McGregor are 1 in a million.

I can see why both Faber and Mcgregor have their opinions on him not showing up for morning practice but ultimately there is a difference between the two of them. I mean look at the position they are both in- Faber has his next fight vs Frankie Saenz at UFC 194 Mcgregor has his next fight vs Jose Aldo at UFC 194 for the Undisputed UFC Featherweight Championship So if you look at it Mcgregor has a much more serious fight to prepare for, its a title match. Faber is known to teach guys normally while he fights so I can see why he'd be pissed Mcgregor isn't putting in one on one group sessions like he is but Mcgregor seems like the guy who needs on focus on his match more. Really you just need the coaches there that prepare Conor to fight because they taught him and I don't think he has teaching experience.

Uriah trying to intimidate Conor and say there's no fear in him while even a novice can make out how nervous he is just being there. Lol.
