It was like a Rocky fight in real life, everyone in the room was amazed, it got everyone up like I'd never seen before from a sport. Agreed, what amazes me about Forrest is that he basically destroyed all expectations Journalists and fans had for him. Beating tito twice, that spectacular submission win against a prime shogun and shocking the world by beating Rampage and capturing the LHW title. I'll never forget his career and great personality.

I remember watching season 1 on Bravo and really enjoyed it and had no idea how much UFC was banking on this show at the time. I don't really watch any reality shows anymore as those shows are really killing creativity but The Ultimate Fighter really delivered thanks mainly to that epic last fight

You should respect Forrest more for the work he puts in that MADE the company keep him around. Liddell and Hughes weren't doing shit but collecting a paycheck, that's why they got axed from their "lifelong" jobs behind the scenes when WME took over.

This brings back some memories for everyone over the last 15 years. I was at Bispins fight in Manchester and was invited to the after party. I met Joe Rogan and a few of the fighters. They were all really nice guys. Pretty much chilled out. It was awsome seeing these killing machines all together having a beer. I met many other fighters in my time following my mate Tom Blacklege to London fighting at wembley. I met Big Bob Sap, he was a nice guy and also met Ian the machine Freeman a couple of times. He was very powerful that guy.

I was a UF fan from the get. I called three different cousins about the Forest/Bonner fight. Fans for life after that. Banger fight.

That Griffin vs. Bonnar fight at the TUF 1 finale still brings a smile to my face. It's the fight that turned me into into a passionate fan of the sport. I was a casual back then and only cared about watching Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, but after the TUF 1 finale, I couldn't get enough of it.

Man it makes me a little emotional to look back at this. I was 18 or 19, feels like a lifetime ago.

Michael Ghiesa is a great example of turning all those negative feelings, all that loss and pain. And turn it around and use it as a weapon. Unreal.

From what I could find, his last fight was in 2018. His twitter lists him as having a professional record of 7-1 as an MMA fighter, but also lists his record as 100,000-0 as a professional Alpaca shearer.

The Ultimate Fighter has given us countless memories over the years, my personal favorites are Rampage Jackson kicking down the door, Team McGregor and Faber almost brawling and Brock Lesnar’s chicken salad, good times man 🙌

I got interested in MMA thanks to the very first season of TUF. I started out with martial arts in early 2000 with Kyokushin Karate, then BJJ for several years. When TUF first aired I was hooked right away and was actually having honest plans to some day try to get on the show. Unfortunately health complications that latest for several of years set me back too much for these plans to become reality. Sucks but my martial arts days and watching UFC and TUF was one of the best years of my life.

The humility that Kimbo had and how humble he was is so admirable. Not once did he ever act like he knew everything there was in fighting just because he was a great boxer. He listened to everything everyone was telling him and picked it up like a sponge. Roy Nelson was NOT a skilled fighter, he was a big fat guy who put his belly over Kimbos face and lightly tapped him on the face. RIP Kimbo

Kimbo wasn’t a great boxer. Kimbo was a powerful man who could out-punch the rest of the dudes in his neighborhood. I wouldn’t call Kimbo a boxer. I’d call him a dog that knew how to fight with his hands. And he was humble because he knew this just as well as we all could see it, and it’s absolutely commendable due to the hype around him at the time. I mean Kimbo had so much hype it’s got people actually having the audacity to call him a great boxer. But at the end of the day, he was grounded, he understood the reality of the situation but took the opportunity to try and do a little better for himself and his family. At the end of the day, I don’t want to hate on Kimbo, but praise him for the same reason you do. It’s just painful seeing people refer to Kimbo much better than he was as well due to that hype

I'm not always a fan of Dana White but damn... that was a hell of a speech. It came straight from the heart.

This show changed my entire view of Tito Ortiz. He is SUCH a great coach! Being a pro-wrestling fan, after watching him, I realized that he's just a Heel promoting a fight. Watching Ken Shamrock NOT coaching also changed my view about him as well.
