Not trying to defend TJ, but when you're going into a fight, you take whatever mental advantage you can get. By TJ downplaying Barao's training, he is essentially convincing himself that Barao has no chance. He just has to be careful not to underestimate the guy.

Watching these i like Barao a hell of alot more than i do TJ hes nice and humble and grounded i hope he wins the belt back this Saturday.

I love how people act like there is a huge difference between bantam and fly, its 10 fucking pounds. Dodson is also a savage and is ranked as second best flyweight in the world. Not to mention every male champ except Weidman has had at least one loss so i dont know why people focus on records so much.

Barao seems to be training hard, but I'm not sure that will be enough. TJ knows his tendencies so well. Barao needs to be a completely different when they fight.

tj trains very smart, he's not pushing himself to the limit a week before the fight.

I have to say that Barao packing his suitcase was exhilarating.

I agree it's to do with pushing the champ, but I also think it's personality and activity. Barao was champ for what, two years? Never heard a thing about him, because he doesn't do anything. He's clearly a reserved person, and it shows. TJ on the other hand... He's soaking in the limelight, doing as much shit as he can. Naturally, you'll get to see more of it.

Im very intrigued by portuguese and try to learn everytime that i can with brazilean interviews, Q&A. American fans want everything given to them, you can also make an effort to understand other fighters, especially when they are that good like Renan, Jose Aldo, Cigano, Werdum, etc

The UFC should have left DJ vs. Cariaso on this card. That fight doesn't add a ton of appeal on 178. If it was on this card at least it would have a solid co-main.

This is exactly like before the champ did barely any training and overlooked the challenger then he got destroyed, the same thing is going to happen to dillashaw

Their first fight was such a one sided beat down that its ridiculous to say Barao will win the rematch. That being said, after Barao took that first big punch he didn't look like he was in the fight for a minute, so i see him being alot more calculated and careful this time around.
