    @@83Henno Goldberg reported inaccurately, which was annoying. He didn’t know much of the sport. At least Anik knows what he’s saying, for the most part. Goldberg was only good for “Here we go” and “It is all over”.

    Still can’t believe how unreal it was being in the arena that night. That 3rd round took the energy for the entire night out of me. If you haven’t been to a UFC event, I highly suggest going to a stacked card. It’ll be a night to remember for the rest of your life

    Was held in that choke for about 10 secs too when the avg time for a man to black out is 6-7 secs. Man’s a different breed

    @@YvanTDF Actually it was the other way around: It was Ortega who expended all his energy trying to follow through on the submissions. That’s why he looked finished at the end of the round. Had this been in MSG, the doctors would’ve likely stopped the fight.

    I struggle with announcers who don't have a combat sports background but Anik has really grown on me, dude does a hell of a job and does his research. Happy to hear he's actually been training and might have his first ammy fight.

    @Maybe, maybe not. Obviously mma is super complicated but a good play by play in any sport knows his place and leaves the analyzing to the pros. Anik does that. You dont need any belt to know whats happening on the surface level

    He's kicking, working and moving a lot, Both guys are sweaty so the arms and neck slipped, Also Guillotine takes a toll on the arm, Ortega has to let go, plus Ortega is already battered/gassed/pummeled. Its not something you can hold on to for 30 seconds if a guy doesnt tap and obviously awake you have to let go to preserve your strength.
