People saying she had NO shot. I thought amanda would win but I commented on the UFC press conference her saying "juliana would never be champion" was bad news. Number 1 you never underestimate the heart of your opponent and lack of humility and egos will break you. I literally said this is usually when champions lose. And nunes lost.

Should be interesting to see who he chooses; if it’s going to be the McGregor trilogy for one last big money fight, or I hope he doesn’t get pushed into a corner by the UFC to force him to take a fight that’ll bury him for his last one.

@@Drew791 Its all good, they're on about Nick fighting Kevin Holland next, so if that happens we will get Nick in the cage, Nate I could give less than a damn about really as he's become a bit more of a twitter shit poster lately, Nick I think can have a few more good showings, but I'd personally love to see him as cornerman for some young fighters, he has the knowledge, the experience and the grit in order to be a coach, lets see it

@@andrewstokes6623 yeah I’m in agreement. Nick doesn’t need to take any more damage and nothing left to prove. He can definitely be the coach that a lot of young fighters need. He’d have a line out the door to get into his gym with people willingly paying any price to get trained by him. And yeah, I am also surprised Nate getting into it with people on Twitter instead of just chilling.

@@jordandunne3508 I did when she talked with Ariel way earlier this year, I was shocked by the comments then saying that she will be slain, I knew that Nunes will panic if Juliana brings volume and will gas. I also knew that Juliana has a granite chin the only thing I wasn't expecting is the finish in the second round I thought it will in the fourth or fifth.

Yeah so happy for her.. I remembered watching her in TUF, Ronda n her gangs mocking her saying she gonna get destroyed by Shayna Baszler in her first TUF fight but she proved them wrong n continue to win the whole show.. Huge win but nothing about her is precision. She probably one of the worst precision fighters on the roster. She puts her head down and throws. That's what she's always done and it works for her. I'm a fan and happy for her but shes nothing like you described. If you dispute what I said you're truly an idiot because everyone who covers the sport says the same exact thing.

I never watched juliannas fights until last week and i made the prediction of Pena via sub or tko. I bet on Pena because not only she can have success with amanda on her back but also amanda gasses fast at 135 shes weight drained, belongs at 145.
I have watched this sport for the past ten years, and never once did I ever get emotional like how I did when Julianna won. What she said was truly inspirational and the way Amanda handled the loss was a true champion move. Great work from the both of them and congrats to Julianna!

Her jab was relentless. Perfect timing and enough power to keep Nunes at bay. It was crazy watching the expression change on the face of Nunes. You could see the frustration creeping in. The stoppage was so quick and we couldn’t see the tap so most of us watching were so confused at first. We couldn’t even process what we had just witnessed.

It was mystifying, but at the same time satisfying watching her facial expression change. The cocky, overconfident smile was replaced with an "oh shit" and "I'm in trouble" look on her face. She looked like a deer in the headlights, just like when Ronda Rousey got humiliated back in 2016 by Nunes, the circle came back and completed itself against Nunes in almost karmic fashion.
The way she carry her baby, the way she fight. Totally different mode. Between mom and fighter. That’s amazing!
Seriously proud of Julianna. Never give up people. Never give up!

Reminds me a lot of Nate’s win over McGregor. Both called their shots, people didn’t think they had a chance, high volume punching, the odds favorite got gassed, a rear naked choke, and the post fight interview. Congrats to the Venezuelan Vixen

I can't believe people doubted Pena so much. Pena is a mean and nasty fighter. She beat up a male bouncer and got arrested awhile back, and it was in the news. I mean, who does that? She has a mean streak, and wasn't going to give up easily. And Amanda, she has had a relatively easy career with people who are not at her level except for 2 or 3 hard fights, where she was still barely hurt. Amanda had no reason to train hard for this fight, and i knew there was room for error there.
The Nate Diaz quote was so clutch. I've replayed that like 25 times. Her daughter just learned a new word lol.
That was amazing. Those two main events were pure action, chaos and beauty! What an event!
This is legit the most shocking upset in mma. Not once did I ever think Amanda would lose. Props to Pena💪🏽

Don't know what kinda fight annalist you are, but if you knew anything at all, You'd see that they were both throwing jabs. But Julianna was dodging and connecting while Nunes was just missing. I don't dislike what your saying. If you believe the fight was fixed, believe it. I don't care. I think that Julianna was the better woman and she won fare and square. Whatever happens in the rematch happens. Julianna looked very hungry and ready mentally and physically and I think her attitude going into the second round won her the fight. If you don't think that, believe it. They weren't statue's. They were trading shots. It was a dog fight and a slug fest and Julianna had her rocked. That's what happened but believe what you want.
She tapped with no hooks in says a lot about the strength she felt from Peña

I was jumping up and down begging Julianna not to stand with Nunes in that 2nd round. Then Nunes hit her a couple of good times and Pena kept coming and I saw the absolute look of terror come over Nunes when Pena took those shots and didn't go out. Pena isn't the best boxer, but she's got the willpower and fortitude to see it through. This was a great fight for Pena.

Honestly, I never thought I never thought I'd never see anyone beat Nunes again. I cannot believe it!
At 2:06 left in the second round, Pena landed 4 straight left jabs IN A ROW. I don't think I've ever seen a fighter try, let alone LAND, 4 of the same strikes in a row like Pena did. Man, my house went CRAZY that moment.

Well, in the UFC the upsets are aplenty. Now, I know that Amanda had this aura of invincible destroyer, and for good reason, but again, in MMA is where you get most of the shocking upsets with relative regularity.

You're only in shock because the UFC media machine has brainwashed you into believing these fighters are the greatest of all time when they string up a couple of wins. It's a joke, Pena was no bum coming into the fight and had already knocked out a man in real life situation and you were all doubting her

It left me speechless for a while. I mean I wasn't even able to get ready for the main event. I needed an hour yo soak it all in. Dony even remember the post fight interview. Man what an upset for the ages.

Teared up over this rigged fight. The same amanda that beat cyborg lost to this girl. Did you see how julianna throws her punches? Its like israel adesanya blanking out and not knowing how to fight and losing to someone like kevin holland
Think about the last several years for Julianna, she had that devastating knee injury during training almost 7 years ago and doctors said she may never fight again. But she proved them wrong and here she is as the new UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion in a MAJOR UPSET!!!

When she was exchanging strikes with Amanda in second round her eye started swelling and I thought its gonna be a doctor stoppage in the end of the round but man she never backed down and forced Amanda to go against the cage and then submitted her. Even I didn't believe that Amanda tapped. What a fight and what a sport🙌🙌🙌🙌

Conor was smashing guys and got the bigest hype behind him and trash talk Aldo for a solid year, i didnt think he would win but i know he is great stand up fighter where Pena is mediocre everywhere, here stand up is not good but Nunes just run into here for 2 min. this is the bigest upset i belive ever, even Sera beating GSP was smaller surprise becouse Matt got power where Pena hit like 30% of Nunes power but she got hit like 20-30 times runing in and geting cleeped majority of them till she was so hurt Pena went for the finish so no.
