Nah. It's a lame PPV. The co-main is decent. The main is a 170 pounder weight bully who specializes in wrestling taking on a 145 pound striker. Might as well headline the undercard with that fight, because it's going to be terrible.

I'm not sure anyone has a higher fight IQ besides him and Jon Jones, even though given who Islam has grown up training with he's right there too. The issue I think he's gonna have is when he realizes Islam is even better at grappling than he anticipated and knowing Volk, he's not underestimating the grappling. These Dagestan boys have been grappling since they were in diapers. It's just a different level.

I don't understand how people think this is a good fight. It's a 170 pound weight bully wrestler fighting a 145 pound striker at 155. The lean mass advantage of the wrestler is going to cause the striker to empty his tank just trying to get off the ground or break the clinch. It's a horrible fight. Totally lopsided.
Great content. Love the indigenous vision in the beginning. That would be a cool ritual for every place hosting events. Interesting to see all the different local cultures and how that intersects with fighting.

I hope the Makhachev vs Volk fight goes down the same way as the Burns vs Chimaev one. A lot of people thought Chimaev was just going to run over Burns but we got something much better out of that fight. I have a feeling we're going to see something really similar here in that sense.

I can see some people don't understand that if Alexander the Great wins he will absolutely etch himself in combat sports as one of if not the greatest to ever do it. I honestly believe he may get the job done... idk what it is but he's different. Win or lose I got Hella respect for the dude. He proved a lot of people wrong. Including me.

I'm a huge fan of Yair but Josh is looking dangerous af right now. Both guys are amazing
I honestly have this feeling that somehow Volk is gonna win this fight. I watched 5 or 6 of his previous fights last night just to refresh my memory and there's a few takeaways. Nobody has been able to hold Volk down for more than a second or two. Nobody. That rugby frame he's got is no joke. His striking is really on point. Great feints and his jab is money. Great leg kicks too. He works the striking hard too, he throws alot out there. Nasty body shots all the time. Importantly, he can get out of ridiculous submissions. Good example is vs Ortega. And the most important thing I noticed was his conditioning. I mean the guy works so hard in there and never ever gets tired. Again, I think the rugby helped him alot. He played pro rugby at over 200 pounds. Think of what his cardio must be like at featherweight! Honestly never really gave it much though I assumed Islam will win but now I'm just not that sure. And if Islam makes the mistake of thinking this will be easy like everyone else, he may end up being unpleasantly surprised 😄 can't wait to find out!

Volk's never been in a fight this big he's definitely feeling the pressure ramp up, I wouldn't say he's nervous though

Nervous? Nah. Just getting into the zone.
It is a tough one for me I am a fan of both fighters' just hope they both get thru healthy, and it is a great war for all us fans.
