I wasn't expecting Ben to pick either GSP or Khabib but he actually placed them at #1 and #2! Wow, +1 for that! Sure shows he has some respect for them and acknowledges their skills. And +1 more for not including himself in the list, although he actually deserved to be in there, but yeah, we're talking about UFC exclusively, not MMA, and he has just debuted here. This kinda changed my opinion on him, he's very different than people make him to be in the comment sections.

Askren is liked in the comments section. He's smart, funny, and likable. Only his opponents hate his trash talk. And yeah he probably deserves to be in the top 5.

Layla seems like a brilliant presenter!
People still give Saki too much shit for losing against Rountree Jr. For the short time he's been training in Mixed Martial Arts he looked good, especially in his first fight, where his TKD looked really good. Also, Rountree Jr. is a very powerful puncher who's in his physical prime and sometimes even the best fighters get knocked out, so i really think people are overreacting when they say "Saki's time is over" or "This is MMA, not Kickboxing". Also the utmost respect to Gökhan Saki for facing the tough challenge of transitioning into MMA at that age.

Be realistic, the guy started training Wrestling, MMA at age 33, he has absolutely no chance against tougher competition especially against GSP or Jon Fitch kind of wrestlers. He can win one or two against lower ranked opponents that's all, he will be 40 pretty quick.

@@plisskennn While wrestling is very important in MMA, you don't need to be the best wrestler to be a good fighter. If you've got solid basics and a good takedown defense you can go a long way coming from a striking martial art. Just look at Holly Holm, Israel Adesanya, Joanna Jedrcejczyk, Valentina Shevchenko, etc. I get that it's difficult for him against wrestling-specialists, but to say he can only win a few fights against lower ranked fighters is exaggerated imho.

@@ChazISfat As far as i remember, they said he's one of the best strikers, not that he is actually the best. Besides that: Jose Aldo got knocked out by Conor McGregor in 13 seconds, Joanna Jedrcejczyk got knocked down and finished by Rose Namajunas and so on. It just happens sometimes in MMA that even the best strikers get finished on the feet. That doesn't equate to the finished fighters being bad strikers though.

@Uf CosarTurkish super Sayajin is back on track since he suffered surgery Best source for info. is his Facebook page etc.: Gökhan Saki 20. November 2019 : Before my last fight I was treated at the UFC Institute for hours daily because I was feeling constant pain. With this insecurity in my head I went in to my fight and after the fight I was still working on my recovery. I wanted to fight in march but I couldn’t. After a lot of hospital visits and fysio, the doctors and my team decided that I just needed surgery. I just finished the operation and all went well. In two weeks I hope to be on my feet again and return to my trainings. I just wanted to thank everyone for always supporting me and being patient for my comeback. I hope to give you guys soon what you all are waiting for 💪👊 Much love and respect. The Rebel.
