Volk is absolutely brilliant. It took me a while to pinpoint why he's so good. It's largely just the best fight IQ in the sport right now. Look at just these clips with Max. Volk knows what Max is going to throw in every exchange.

Man, it was so special to see Charles winning the fight after the issue with the scale, that shit was like a movie, unforgettable night.

Dude Arnold Allen and Ilia Topuria are SUCH TALENTED up and coming fighters. The sky is the limit for the both of them.

khamzat vs burns was the fight of the night that night. Khamzat showed his ridiculous power and improved striking and burns showed how his heart and experience almost got him the win and he has crazy power too.. in the end it is an instant classic that fans will always remember...

Sitting here watching that Charles victory and getting excited even tho I've already seen it. Charles is that guy. He's relatable in a way that most fighters aren't. Knowing where he's come from and what he's been through. When he wins it's like you win. If you know you know. I don't know if any fighter has had that affect on me quite like Charles. I hope he can get back to the top.

So many good moments this year.

Chimaev vs Burns is my favorite fight in this year so far. That fight was fire, that was so rough and tough. Chimaev showed how strong and smart fighter he is, but sometimes he was in trouble cuz his opponent is Gilbert Burns ! And Burns is a WILD man too !!! I like him so much. He is a true warrior. Respect to both. For me that fight is draw.

How did Chimaev show that he is smart? By leading with his face? Burns was literally throwing the exact same single punch everytime. Khamzat was eating the punch again and again couldnt make a single defensive adjustment. He just showed that his striking is lacking...

An absolutely amazing year to be an MMA fan. So many great moments this year alone that it felt like it was 5 years. Can't wait for part 2. Let's hope 2023 continues with this momentum and that this is only the beginning of this still very young sport.
