It would've been a good fight for sure. I often think of the modern champions and the former and how their fights would match up at their primes. Prime DC would be amazing to see with today's LHWs. I feel like DC in his late 20's would've decimated prime Jon Jones.

After 4 tries were izzy got brutally koed twice and 1 decision lose and alex pereira getting old and Jo's reaction and speed getting slower at 35 years that's how he finally managed win in the 4th. Plus Alex was clearly understanding izzy in the 4th fight and wasn't careful. Peak alex pereira always has beat izzy even with the disadvantages of lack of experience.

Izzy got dominated and cucked 3times by Pereira in Izzy's weightclass. He got dominated forth fight then landed the luckiest shot ever seen, while Pereira was drained from weight cut and already beat him 3 times with zero motivation.

Jones would likely get smoked. He's past his prime and even in his prime he had to cheat to stop DC. I really think if you examine everything about Jones, he's for sure in the highest echelon of fighters, but he's still widely overrated.

This is speculation, but it would appear that either he is avoiding an Aspinall fight for fear over his legacy, or the UFC are protecting his legacy because he's a fan favorite.
