Here for 303, the main was meant to be McGregor/ Chandler and that fell apart, here they are again willing to step in and save the card

@@josh1180 Well, that's what I'm talking about. He is very humble. Even the commentators unanimously agreed that it was early stoppage. Jiri wasn't knocked out per se, he rolled and got up instantly after the referee stopped the fight. He wasn't " knocked out ".

Problem with Jiri is that he doesn't seem to have his old power anymore, probably because of the injury. He used to have that absolute touch of death. People compared him to Rumble a lot, and his KO ratio was actually a lot higher. He was hitting Alex so much, but just wasn't hurting him. If he doesn't regain his old mass, he's losing again.

@@TheStraightestWhitest I just think UFC guys are at the very highest level of durability so it takes a lot more to put out all of these guys at the top especially. Alex despite his age is now cutting a lot less so he probably is at his most durable self vs Jiri, especially this next fight he has 2 weeks to cut like 22 pounds which for Alex is very light work compared to what he used to cut and against Jamahal he looked so big and fast, he looks just super fresh and hydrated nowadays, that helps so much which how much it takes to get knocked out.

its honestly more the placement and the way he loads it. If you look that left hook is literally right on the button to cause a spike of electricity to the CNS, he gets great whiplash by the angle Jiri's heads moving and where he places the shot. Its the mark of a world elite striker, also the technique is just so solid ofc he hits like a hammer.

@@MoisesUribe-yq9djAlex's leg kicks was deadly, on other fronts Jiri was better. But it's a 5 round fight so too early to say Jiri was winning. But don't think ref should have called it off

What's insane is that that Left Hook didn't even look like it landed that hard and yet Alex has so much Power that it's still able to drop an Opponent, same with his fight with Jamahal Hill

100%. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that he surprised him with the counter right hook first, and when he was starting to sink and his head was rotating THEN he caught him with the left when his head was going the opposite direction

power is cool technique is better... find the nerve bundle on your chin and give it a few taps.. for some people you dont need much power to shut em down.. just hit the button...

This was a good stoppage, but more importantly I have fallen in love. I never knew about Jiri till today. The way he fought was awesome.

Agreed. Marc Goddard is one of the worst refs. That's like the 5th or 6th bad stoppage of a main event in at least three years lol

@@George70220 in my opinion it means when a significant fight on a card has fallen through and another fighter steps in to “save” the card on short notice
