    yeah crazy. Rakic did everything right but had no chance. When Jiri put the foot on the gas pedal, it was over. It would happen sooner or later. He said in the 1st round he was basically just reading Rakic and decided "let it go" in the 2nd round.

    @@xkolm49 Not really. If he did everything right he would've won, he got sloppy in round 2 and got rocked. Obviously, easier said than done, Rakic has a lot less room for error than Jiri because Jiri has a granite chin and hits harder than Rakic.

    For Jiri to do this after that shoulder injury was something special. I wasn't sure if he'd be the same, hell i was almost expecting for his shoulder to dislocate. So glad he has no problems with it!

    I think Alex being a Muay Thai god, helps him a lot. His technique is different from these regular MMA fighters. Most people require to throw punches from a distance to get maximum force. Alex twists & spirals his body in such a way that he gets to throw bombs even in shorter distances. I respect his dedication to the sport.

    other fighters are OK to win on points. He doesn't have that scenario. He finishes. Always. So he doesn't care about the individual rounds because he knows he will release the beast later on anyways.

    Jiri is like the spirit of war. Not incredibly, scientifically technical, but is instead simply enthusiastic about the act of violence. The way he moves seems like a kind of compulsion to seek violence itself rather than a series of pieces that compose a grander strategy aimed toward victory. It's something special.

    Thing about this fight, was that Rakic was fighting beautifully. Chopping at the legs and countering with punches. He just didn't hurt Jiri enough to get his respect. In Jiri's fight with Reyes, Jiri got tagged with a good left and was rocked and immediately shot for a takedown. Jiri didnt respect Rakic and kept cutting him off and staying in his face. Awesome fight tho

    Great stoppage by Herb Dean. He could even have stopped it earlier but gave Rakic his opportunity to come back and then ended it up before he took too much damage on the ground, I hope he will be the ref for Jiri vs Peirera 2!!

    Bro, finishing sequence in this fight actually started with a headkick. Same thing happened to Oezdemir. Headkick landed flush and it was over from there.

    The first time I saw this fight, I just remember being impressed the way Jiri took over the fight and finished Rakic. This time, I'm still impressed. Rakic looked real good until suddenly he didn't. It looked like Jiri took him to a place he's never been. Solid showing for the Samurai.

    Joe's inability to read body language in movement is stunning. At no point was Jiri's movement or explosiveness affected by these leg kicks. Just because you have bruising and damage on the skin doesn't always mean the whole leg is automatically compromised. Jiri walked through these kicks like he always does and finished Rakic without skipping a beat. He's going to do the same thing to Alex in the rematch mark my words.

    Such a unique fight watching live. I remember not being able to imagine Jiri would lose. Even as he was getting pieced up in the first, for some reason I just couldn’t see him actually losing. It’s like the commentators said about not being denied. It seemed like you could feel that live.
