Honestly… that was probably the smartest, most honest and aware tap out ive ever seen in the sport. Good on him for recognizing that he was not only concussed but had his jaw broken and wasn’t gunna make it through donalds next blitz

Agreed, fuck your pride in these situations. It's your career that's the priority, not this one fight.
Good for Makdessi to call it and avoid taking unnecessary punishment.

Bruh really said “somethin ain’t right after that one, idk what but I’m talkin sideways” lmao he knew something hurt different that’s crazy I’ve never seen someone get rocked and instantly know nope somethings off about this one didn’t cover up didn’t try and fake it crazy smart
One of the best finishes ever especially because of Cerone not going after Makdessi when he signaled he was done. Great sportmanship.
the size difference is crazy
@keithb4077

Agreed, looks like a full class size difference; Makdessi would do best at 145 probably
Back when fighters got paid more from the sponsors on their shorts than the fight itself.
@looka698
3 ай бұрын
Now the fight pays the same as before, but they took away the sponsorships. Keep in mind that the UFC didn't gain or lose money for the sponsorships, they just wanted to fuck the fighters over.
@woahblackbetty7691

Not if you were sponsored by Makdessis company 😂
@OhDamnBam
2 ай бұрын
Now my only defense here is I believe they still get sponsored outside of the ufc but I think it’s mainly name fighters and Dana said he didn’t want the fighters looking like NASCAR drivers he wanted them more clean looking which is funny considering the bloody ass sport
@ashb4275

@@looka698Actually the UFC did gain money, because now those sponsors pay the UFC to be placed on the octagon instead of the fighters shorts. Ruthless.

Very smart move from Makdessi avoiding getting damaged even more...👍
Respect to Cowboy. He doesn't need big pay days to fight, just give him a case of beer and half a bag of corn nuts and he'll show up.

Yup Cowboy and Furgason just to name 2 great fighters who kept fighting past there prime but Tony doesn't know when to quit, Dana needs to have a talk with that man before Tony ends up with permanent damage.

It is in the UFC game, they put the prime of legendary fighters and call it their alter ego.
They should put up that cowboy v Alex Hernandez fight, along with the buildup. That shit was MMA justice at it's finest!

Kind of the best "Knockout" i have seen 😮
Vintage Cowboy was a thing of Beauty...
Cerrone in his prime had such a brutal style. He'd slowly but surely pick you apart with an aresonal of different muay thai weapons he had at his disposal. I mean every time he landed a kick on makdessi i winced because of how nasty some of the shots were😬
I miss Cowboy this fight was originally supposed to be against Khabib and it was also the era where Cowboy fought like every other week
Donald cowboy Cerrone is one of the all time goats who never won a championship 😔❤️

This was the golden Era of the ufc for me. Miss seeing cowboy come in and blast everyone
Donald "Beautiful combination" Cerrone
*At first sight, I really thought it was Artem Lobov.* 🤣
respect to all mixed martial artist...respect...may god bless u all...
cowboy always come up with the best combo
Cerrone was my favorite fighter at this point in 2015 ish. Every fight was a war and most the time he came out on top, this is the original DC in his prime.
Yes!
That was a brutal fight!!!
Good tucker! Love Cowboy.
RESPECT to Cerrone for stopping his advance..✊
Best fighter ever 💪
One of my favorite fighters of all time. People just shit on him now but that’s the new wave of MMA fans for ya. The man stepped up repeatedly and had a lot of great fights. He also got screwed by judges at the end of his career. Had multiple SD losses that he clearly won. The man is a legend idc what anyone says.
I miss cowboy man
Ive hardly seen a bow out...❤
Good fight
Best strong fighter in the world cow boy cerrone very nice fight oppornent kwokcout

Cerrone!!!!
stop over cutting these videos. I like to see the contact(respect) at the start and after the end. A fight is not only about what happens within the time running
Cowboy was a beast when younger don’t forget that
Haven't seen the standing tap before.
I miss sponsorships. I hope they come back soon.
Cowboy was on his game in this fight. At the same time the opponent was a lot shorter
Make fighter's shorts unique again.
Cowboy got him in the groin with the 1st kick, before the KO.
Crazy knockout son
Cerone best

Cowboy didn't looks to happy at the end there, he looked as if something made him displeased especially after winning. He was probably trying to get the best knock out of the night bonus.😂
9:59 you can see Conor in the crowd on the left
Makdessi knew....good fighter, tough loss....
Makdessi is trying to lure Cowboy in closer so he can hit him, but I think Cowboy caught onto that.
I obviously understand that the power difference is gonna be obvious, but I never noticed till now that the way Cowboy had no wind up to his leg kicks and timed them perfect is very similar to Alex Pereira.
Man huge respect to Madkessi he fought great until he got caught against one of the very best.
I personally don't like Cowboy at all as a person, but I did admire his fights
Old school K-1 fight. Different types of kickboxing.
Saw the thumbnail and thought he fought Artem Lobov. 😂 Then I read the title 😅
Ehhh fonzi gettin them shirts out there
Oleee. ...oleeeee...oyeeeeoyeyee😂
cowboy could ko anyone with a headkick in his prime both southpaw and orthodox, he would just sneak it up there
