Condit just had the misfortune of coming up when Welterweight was an absolute frickin murderer's row. In another era he probably would have been champion. But he just happened to be in the era of GSP, and prime Robbie Lawler. And even then he was still competitive with pretty much anybody in UFC.

I remember watching this fight with my Dad back then on TV 2016 saturday night, feels like yesterday. Time really flies. One of the best fights in UFC history period. 2024 My dad is no more, watching this brings me some good memories.

He was the welterweight champ in 2014 after a win over Johnny Hendricks. Then in 2015 he retained his title in a rematch with Rory MacDonald also. Just saying!

Without question Condit won this...99% of the people agree.

The variety and volume of Condits striking is truly outstanding in this fight. He won this easy 48-47. Can’t figure out how a judge could score it any other way.

Carlos is literally superhuman. The greatest display of cardio fitness in all of history.

Plus the chin on him. Seriously the fact he stayed on his feet the last round getting that type of beat down from Robbie while also being completely exhausted is incredible.

Seems the only people to disagree with the W for Condit are the judges. One of the worst robberies to in UFC history. Condit never got the belt he deserved.

its obvious Carlos won to everyone except judges. 3-1 going in to last one... for me, Robbie took fifth and lost. Love both of these guys fighting style and heart, but Condit deserved to be the champ. Won this one 100%. Still to this day one of my favorite fights.@@dariobalde4209

@@jacobsaunders1092 you’re right. People often mistake exhausted for rocked. I think he was fine in that last round, just tired. I mean he got hit with big shots but outstruck Robbie the majority of the fight. Still a good fight but arguably could score it 49-46 Condit

Two world class veterans that will never be forgotten.

One of the grosses robberies in history. Carlos clearly won 4 rounds to 1. Robbie had an amazing round/strong finish in round 5 but outside that, he was outclassed. Still, great fight.

Carlos Condit so underrated.

Condit was in a flow state this fight. He was flowing so smooth and was putting it on Robbie big time in the fourth.

Two OG's of the sport. Respect.

It still stings that Condit didn't get his hand raised this fight. He was my favorite Welterweight for so long and i wanted him to hold the belt at least once

If you ever encounter any fellow modern day UFC fan that called Strickland vs Dricus a brutal robbery. Show them this fight and they'll know the TRUE definition of a brutal robbery.

This is the first time I saw this fight and truly I’m not the type to throw “robbery” around. But this was totally a robbery. Anything other than 1,3,4 Condit and 2,5 Lawler is crazy.

Now that he's retired I don't expect to see much of Robbie in the stands as a fan (I hope we get to) , but I hope he gets the same love that I see Chuck get every time because that man is cut from the same cloth of absolute warrior . The epitome of toughness, heart, skill and the willingness to die on his shield. Robbie is the man

Had condit winning 1,3, and 4 imo under todays rule set. Dont know how important octagon control was before but i would say that round 3 is the only one that classifies as a real swing round. As dumb as I think last second optics are, the harder shots were landed by Robbie in the 5 round despite condit doing well for about 3 minutes. Tough. Condit should have had a belt but it isn’t a robbery, just kind of a bad call (in today’s rules).

Hall of fame fight for sure. This is a kind of fight which make fans go crazy.

This title fight along with having a great opportunity to finish GSP in their title fight makes its hard not to feel disappointed for Condit. He was about as close as you could get to winning a UFC title without achieving it. The guy was always a gamer even going back to his WEC days and I think not getting the nod is this fight took the hunger out of him.

Carlos Condit is one of my favorite fighters to grace the ufc octagon. It should be criminal now underrated and overlooked this man is, one of the best welterweights of all time

Most people think Condit won. Its a shame because this was one of the best fights in UFC history, but the judges decision completely overshadowed what should be celebrated as a fight worthy of a HOF induction.

Remember saw it live and my heart broke when Lawler got the decision. I was certain Condit won the fight. Still can't process the loss and Condit was mentally broken after the fight, never the same. To this day it pains me that NBK was never a ufc undisputed champ.

The amount of training and conditioning to fight that long at that level is incredible!!!

This is one of the biggest robberies that doesn't get talked about enough, probably because everyone love Robbie Lawler including me. Condit landed 84 more strikes, tho Lawler landed harder.

This is one of the closest fights in MMA history and I think it's fitting that it gets uploaded after Strickland vs DDP. I heard a lot of people thought Condit won, and though I thought Lawler won at the time I definitely can see people giving it to Condit. Razor-thin margin where both fighters literally gave everything they had. UFC please put this fight in the Hall of Fame.

Also of course Condit landed more strikes he also only landed 35% of the strikes he threw. Lawler landed over half of his strikes. To say because on paper someone landed more they won is crazy. This is not amateur boxing.

One of the best fights ever. I was at my grandma's with my cousin and my cousin and I were watching it. At some point my grandma started watching and she got super into it. That's how awesome it was. Fyi she thought Condit won too.

Condit was one of my favorite fighters. I watched this with my dad at a bar and the end had me so fucking nervous.

Still one of my fav fights of all time, NBK should’ve won an SD at least

@@tootiredforthis1 I hear you. Lawler Macdonald 2 is iconic, but IMO I think Lawler Condit overall is a crazier fight. The first two rounds of Lawler Macdonald 2 are a little slow, and then it gets crazy near the end of the third round. In the Lawler Condit fight, crazy shit happened in every round. Condit momentarily rocks and drops Lawler in the first, Lawler drops Condit in the second, third round is very close, Condit rocks Lawler and tees off on him against the fence at the end of round 4, and Lawler throws an onslaught of punches on a tired Condit in the fifth

Newer fans will never know how badass carlos condit as a fighter back in the day. He is the true BMF not ducklip gaetjhe or street judas

30 min video for one round of MMA worth watching. Four rounds of watching Lawler LARP as Rocky just getting beat on for four rounds before he actually fought back, and worse, the judges gave him the belt after that performance. Condit out worked him 5 strikes to 1, dominated him for 4 rounds and gave as good as he got when Lawler went into desperation mode. He got robbed.
