Dustin wears his heart on his sleeve and I love it. Fans can relate to his raw emotion, we’ve all been there in life, invested so much into something and it comes up short or we fail. Gaethje was dipping so hard when Dustin was throwing body kicks ...it could've been either one of them getting Ko'ed..luckily Justin hid that kick very well ...if not it could've been lights out for him too ...both great fighters ..legends of the game 👏👏👏
Was rooting for Justin, but after seeing this I feel genuinely disappointed that either of them had to lose. Both amazing fighters with respectful personalities. Dustin is still one of the best lightweights to ever do it. Hope I get to see him fight a few more time before he retires!

He bought into his own hype calling himself the toughest fighter in the UFC when people were saying Justin was the toughest in the pre fight build up. I still remember Dustin saying not Mcgregor fast Mcgregor sleep, how the tables have turned with Dustin being knocked out cold by a guy who rarely throws high kicks😂🤦

One of the reasons why Dustin is loved is he never makes excuses on why he lost a fight. He takes it on the chin and takes the loss like a man. Reevaluates his mistakes and learns from them. He'll be back witha W next time

Even though the KO looked bad, i don't think he was KOed that badly. Excellent stoppage by Herb Dean, he came in clutch with the people's elbow. Dustin chin is still solid

Yeah the ref savaged him from a few hard unnecessary hits. He was out no reason in beating him up further, he also got back on his feet on his own. This was just the perfect hit, it happens to the best and it's always more exciting to see than a submission hold.

Each time he’s fighting for a belt man he looses or gets very nervous. I was going for him for the win but Justin caught him good with that leg kick. Fair play to Justin. I wish Dustin nothing but the best in his career, a true warrior.

Kind of flukey though because we all know Dustin is the better fighter. Dustin also had a rough weight cut and was dealing with some injuries so that wasn't even the real Dustin that lost

Fu#% I used to not really like Poirier much, the last couple years I’ve become a huge fan, think he’s an absolutely incredible, top notch fighter…. He is really. *really* freakin good. Disappointed to see it go down like this, the same way I was for Usman…. So many people feel like that’s what makes fighting so exciting, that one single move can literally decide the entire fight…. But I’d personally rather see an absolute clinic put on or a slugfest where the last man standing is truly the BMF. These Hail Mary knockouts don’t do it for me, I don’t think Gaethje proved he’s the better fighter or badder than Poirier at all. But he won, he’s got the belt…. So it doesn’t matter. Just one person’s opinion.
