Agreed and well put. Hindsight being 20/20, it's interesting to think how Ken's career would've turned out had he came over to wrestling AFTER finishing his peak competition years in MMA. With many in the WWE having success well into their 40's (Lesnar, Taker, Hogan, etc) Ken could've been a bigger star than he was, possibly continuing to today.

Idk about unsuccessful return, he looked great against Otsuka and Fujita before the mysterious stoppage and gave MMA one of the best fights of all time vs Frye in which he deserved the decision, took on the best 205lb fighter Tito Ortiz and lasted 4 hard rounds not many wouldve, KO'd Kimo who had fought prime Bob Sapp tooth and nail a few months before. The first fight where Ken looked shot was Rich Franklin. Tito was the one that he took too many shots from, Frye mainly hit him to the body, Tito almost exclusively the head.

However he disrespected and antagonized another Legend who was passes prime to get that way. In the worst part about it. Is that he didn't even have to. He was elite talent who was bound for greatness already. His rivalry with Ken for me taints his career and just made me dislike him. Regardless of talent.

I don't know if Ken would have ever been able to beat Tito even when younger and at 100% health. People make so much fun of Tito now, but they forget that during this point in time, Tito was an absolute killer. Ken hung tough for the entire first fight against Tito, but he came into that fight with so many injuries and I believe he was already past his best. The Don Frye fight took years off his career, IMO. Tito 2 he really didn't have a chance unless somehow he could have KO'd Tito in the opening moments, and by Tito 3, Ken was totally finished IMO as a top fighter. Much respect to both guys though for sure.

A good stop. He was not defending himself.

Frank Shamrock was possibly the best all around brawler in mma history, Ken was top 15.

To bad Ken wasn't 10 years younger. MMA had changed to much for him by the time he had this fight. Good stoppage to, Tito was gonna rearrange his face. Better safe than sorry. If someone would've got seriously injured in those early years MMA wouldn't be a semi legitimate sport today

Ken was acting like what?? I was fine... dude wasn't defending and if Herb let it go another 10 seconds, Shamroid would've been sleeping with a concave face.
