dantecry12 I don't think anyone is saying Weidman won by luck. What JBJ said "gotta respect the game" meant respect the opponent and don't underestimate anyone.

@@celebritychillout Yeah I don't like Colby or Cody. Conor's ok because his press conferences are always good and he's always humble when he loses. Cody and Colby in the other hand sound like little kids in the press conferences but I will admit I do enjoy seeing Cody getting fucked up and making excuses.

jtube411 people don't realise that Weidman threw a back hand, throwing off Anderson's timing so his head came back forward for the left hook. it wasn't just messing around. if Weidman would've thrown the basic jab, cross, hook he wouldn't have knocked Silva out. But after the straight, he threw his right in a backhand which silva avoided & seeing as he probably counted three punches, he didn't expect the left hook which is what caught him

Weidman still wouldv won . silva fought mostly easy opponents, tuf rejects ect, but todays top middle-weights like weidman, rockhold, bisping, romero, they all could beat silva. The game has evolved. Silvas game plan was to clown around, that gave the illusion that he was invincible. He was very good tho, but he took roids too

Ramon Campos Weidman is a badass, he stayed calm around mayhem himself, Anderson is the goat but Chris was like I still don’t care and watch out cus I know I got skills, and that’s all it takes to dethrone a confident king, a guy who’s is willing to gamble and trust his coaches “ punch him in his Chest” was the best advice and props to Chris for following it, I love mma cus it shows everyone has a equal even Anderson and that equal was simplicity.

I don't know, this is the thing...go back and watch the other fights Silva had and did this same kind of stuff and then look back at this fight and you'll notice one key difference: those guys in the striking game coulnd't even touch Silva. Here, Weidman was. Silva had both inhuman reflexes back then and the ability to move in and out of range and even when he was hit while standing he looked like he was rolling with the punches, while if you look at this fight, Weidman hit Silva several times, not with big, heavy shots, but he seemed like he figured out how to get in Silva's range and connecting. And that was big because Silva should have realized that if Weidman could hit him, than he could also eventually land the big, knockout shot. Weidman had won his previous fight by knockout after all, wrestling sure was his main weapon but he was better than a Chael Sonnen on his feet. I think Silva made it easier for Weidman, but I think Weidman was far away from outmatched here. I think it would have been a tough, close fight even if Silva didn't underestimate Weidman.

Besides he dominated OSP and used his physical strength a lot more than he has in other fights. Did you see how he was picking up Ovince like he was a child? Finally, Jones has never been convicted of cheating so stop creating false narratives.

You know how some people say that "everything happens for a reason"? I believe that Anderson Silva needed those two losses. The first one was for him(and all other fighters) to realize that he is not invincible and that he needs to fix those holes in his genius style. The second loss, gave him a broken leg and a long time to sit out of the game and think. To take all that time and think his way back. And now I think we will start the second phase of Anderson's legend. He needed to get out so that he can come back more complete and even smarter. Im very excited, because some people still have doubts about him but he is about to show the world exactly why he is the best fighter in the world.

So I know how much pain is involved, I have metal plates just like Anderson did. So my comment IS based on a mutual understanding of how such an injury can potentially impact a anyone's mental stability. And I wrote all that because my injury helped me in the long run just as I know Anderson's injury will help him come back stronger.

TBH, Anderson is already 41 years old.... for him to hold the title as long as he did is an achievement that has earned him the title of a legend of UFC. Anderson was losing his motivation... it was obvious. His passion was gone, just as GSP's was. GSP can still come back and hold the title a few more years but anderson is too old. He should have retired a champion

I hate people saying he threw the fight. You have proof? The fact of the matter is Anderson played games with the wrong fighter. He had been getting away with clowning for a long time. It didn't work this time. Silva had that Mike Tyson-like intimidation factor going, Chris didn't buy into it. Watch the replay. Chris rocked his world. He dropped him in the second fight as well. Let's also not forget that Anderson is on the wrong side of 30. And the argument about Anderson's chin being able to take that? Watch Lutter vs Eastman. They call it the button for a reason.

Though nobody will probably read this, I do believe that Anderson had/has what it takes to beat Weidman.. The kicks he was landing were well-placed, his striking is absolutely phenomenal.. I was honestly sad to see him lose the title. It makes me wonder if he just kinda gave up hope.. or if he was ready to be done with fighting.. He talked a lot about not having the amount of time with his family that he truly wanted. It seemed like the way he was "coaching" Weidman in the fight was to hype Chris up to be the champion that everybody needed if they didn't have Anderson... Maybe I'm just blabbing. But Anderson was a respectable champion, that's for sure.

You're right, it seemed like Silva was more into having fun and putting on a show, rather then just going in and getting the win. Like he was getting bored with fighting and the way Weidman kept running and not engaging at first in that fight, Silva was like come on, i want to fight...and also like you said, idt his heart was in being champion anymore, like he already proved everything he needed to in MMA...i don't think he wanted to lose per say or lose like that by a vicious KO...but i think he wanted to have and put on a show more then just going in there, being serious and getting the win. Agree or not, but if Silva would of kept his hands up, didn't play around like that..i doubt Weidman would of won or gotten the finish.

That still proves my point, some of his best victories were when he was countering with his hands at his waist, it's not just arrogance either, it allows his striking to be relaxed and fluid, and makes it a lot easier to defend takedowns.
