This time only Movsar and Rematch makes the most sense. But the problem is that Movsar has 0 finish out of his 8 fights and Volk will need at least 6 month if not more to recover from this. Dude, every time the media start saying stuff like "this champ is the GOAT of x division" it always goes sideways. Same shit happened when they started comparing Izzy to Anderson and Kamaru to GSP. Just goes to show how hard it is to stay at the top for as long as some of the older champs have (Aldo, GSP, Anderson, etc.). Recency bias is a very real thing and invincibility is just an illusion. I think this was so much scary because Masdival's KO was for one time but ilia constantly knocking out people like this style

Anyone who had watched Ilia should have seen his abilities and knew he had a great chance of doing this. He has shown diversity, a good chin and sound defense, as well as vicious ko power. He has shown the ability to adapt and make adjustments in fights and can finish anyone at anytime in the blink of an eye.

Big fan of him, if you saw his earlier UFC fights you know what he’s capable of. But Volk is my guy, was rooting for him 100% and I was so afraid this would happen. People talk about Topuria’s power, but that’s not the main thing, it’s the way he cuts off the octagon and traps you by the cage, the he goes for the KO. Damn, honestly didn’t think he’d do Volk like that…😮

Yea, people still, even after this fight, don't know what he's truly capable of. Many don't even know, that his main specializations was BJJ until couple of years ago he decided to mainly box. And he reads his opponents mid fight, adjusting his game accordingly. Tbh, i still don't know what his weakness is. Guess we'll find that out eventually, but today was not that day.
