If a wrestler stuns you and you thought you were going 3 or 5 rounds, I think the moment he takes you down and tries to maul you your spirit would leave your body (ok so I mean 'soul' lol) joking aside, when someone takes your 'will' they have got into your head and then beat your body and skill out of you. If that was stand-up fight only then Holland would beat this guy. Chimiev listened to his coaches and went for what works, I.e. don't give Holland the luxury of time or space and that will increase your chances. Chimiev treated it like a street fight, now obviously you wouldn't do just wrestling or any wrestling for that matter in a street fight, you would be torn up from stones and concrete or glass OR other people kicking your head in. After the Hype, this was a masterclass on planning and execution and a focused skillset. Still well done to Khamzat. Should have rematch really to give Holland another try to even things, he wasn't prepared for this fight as Khamzat couldn't make weight as he must have timed it wrong and then doctor told him to stop so doesn't kill himself. No excuses, fight is a fight, he won on the day it mattered.

Let's face it, it's the whole Dana White's plan after all. He's a businessman. He can earn so much from both Nate and Khamzat so he separated them to fight for a somehow poetically justifying moment for both Nate and Khamzat. Chimaev is not the fight for Nate, we all know that.
