“Conor looks extremely loose” This single line captures what made Conor so special. The biggest fight of his life, for the title, and the man comes in like he’s right at home. It was an unusual level of looseness. This was the confidence and comfortability he had in his rise to the top. 1 in 1 billion type of swagger. This Conor will be missed.

Exactly, he was always soo loose in their because his confidence was soo high, even in his 1st fight vs Dustin who at the time was his 1st legit test, Conor was soo relaxed and not tensed up like Dustin was, but then recently he started to fight more stiff which is ironic considering he mocked other fighters for being "stiff" lol

@@obscureesoteric7213 It's not really our true nature, it's just a survival mechanism, sometimes you need total focus and a lack of conscious overwriting action. Flow state is sort of what our subconscious would do without the conscious aspect, action first and foremost, and you don't really realize what you are doing until the deed is done. You couldn't operate like that 24/7, for one, it wouldn't work well with a sapient mind, for two, it's very draining and difficult to maintain even at the best of times. It's easier to achieve if you train for it though, in martial arts and every other aspect of life, work out the right triggers and you can just fly through your work.

I was working pit boss at Harrah's Cherokee NC, and Joe Rogan, Kevin James, and Adam Sandler were there for a UFC event. The three of them were down in the casino, it was after 3am because I was taking my break. As they were passing by me on the floor, I said: Damn I would be without my phone, when I run into the three of you guys together! Adam asked me why I didn't have my phone, so I explained that we the employees weren't allowed to have our phone on us whenever we were on the clock. Joe was explaining to them why that was the best way to have it, and then we started talking about the UFC. I asked Joe straight up, who was the all around best fighter that he has seen in the UFC. Joe started coming off with weight divisions, statistics, and all type of other stuff before Kevin said just answer the fucking question. Joe gets all serious and said" during this particular fight between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo that Conor McGregor was the best featherweight that he had ever seen in any octagon. Now before there were weight divisions,is a totally different story all together" then everyone brought up Royce Gracie's name! I don't know where they were coming from, and I don't know where they were going. I asked them if they had time, for me to run to my locker to get my phone? Joe said we really don't have enough time, but we will be back down here tomorrow about the same time. I never saw either one of them again, and I had my camera in my fanny pack all ready to go.

Aldo always looks that way. I never expect him to beat people so easily because of the humbleness he shows prior to his fights. Then you see him pull off these leg kicks and stuff like it's just second nature. I think he was not feeling his best this day. Not to take away from Conor's extremely real talent. Great matchup here. Would love to see another with these 2.

I remember watching this live and being sooooooo pumped and nervous and excited for Conor as he had been trying to secure this fight FOREVER and kept getting it cancelled last minute (Jose hurt a rib in practice or whatever else) so the fact that Jose had actually shown up this time was exciting and I was just wishing and sending Conor so much magical and awesome energy and as his fan at the time i remember thinking about what he must be thinking and feeling ... anyway the bell dinged and the fight started and I was hopping around in my living room alone watching and then BOOM!!!!!! I screamed and was so excited for Conor and Dee and his team as it was a long time coming and so well deserved. Then when they said 13 seconds or whatever I was like YES my lucky number hahaha .... But what I remember being even more impressed about was that Conor had taken time out of his training to go and help an event in Ireland to raise funds to help the homeless and it was barely even reported on. He certainly didn't draw press to it because that's not why he did it. He genuinely wanted to help. And ended up donating 50k to help fund the homeless medical care etc. (This was way before he got mega rich) ... anyway then after this fight and he finally beat Jose, instead of gloating and bragging online like others do ... and sadly how so many "fans" were picking on Jose, instead Conor posted about what a great champion Jose is and how he had so much respect for him etc etc etc. So yeah, Conor is one very special fighter and i will never forget this moment in History, along with his other awesome times on his journey to get where he is today.
