I mean yeah, he’s a fan favorite that is a proven high selling draw. We get these fighters from time to time that despite not being at the top currently, still are a huge draw such as Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal, Conor Mcgregor, Charles Oliveira is now one, arguably Colby Covington etc. These guys will always be main eventers or co-main as long as they continue to hold star power. (and while some may say that Lewis isn’t quite at their level, he is still proven to sell tickets on smaller cards and to be a big draw.) This isn’t rly anything new.

Not to mention he holds the record for most knockouts in ufc history, so they know when Derek Lewis is fighting, somebody is getting a finish and sending the crowd home with a bang, which is exactly why he is as popular as he is and sells tickets the way that he does.

UFC always puts the fights that don’t expose other fighters just before the fights , why not out another fight up where it shows some traits and weakness cause this fight here wasent really to much of the indicator that people need to see the real exposure I can go into detail about here .

Because highlighting weaknesses in your fighters would decrease ppv purchases. People wanna see two seemingly unbeatable forces collide. It makes them all tingly inside. I absolutely see where you're coming from and I agree. Luckily you don't have to rely on UFC for UFC analysis and predictions.
