Former UFC light heavyweight champion Shogun Rua will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame’s ‘Modern Wing’ as a member of the Class of 2024. The 2024 UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place during the 12th Annual UFC International Fight Week™ this summer in Las Vegas and will be streamed live on UFC FIGHT PASS.

My all time favorite MMA fighter! Such a shame injuries had such an affect on his career, once he joined the UFC. He did look absolutely incredible on his run from UFC 97 to UFC 113. I'm glad he's being inducted into the HoF! This had me teary eyed. The chant at the end. Amazing video!

The reason I became a fan of MMA was because I accidentally ordered PRIDE in 2005 and saw Shogun win the tournament. I wish they had expanded on that!

2005 LHW Grand Prix. Was the betting UNDERDOG in all 4 of his matches. FINISHED all 4 opponents to win the tournament. And most people wasn't even watching MMA back then. ESPN didn''t even post ANY articles about MMA at all.
