UFC fans don't appreciate a good thing unless it's told to them. Kimbo Slice came in with almost no professional fighting experience and went toe to toe with some of the best in his weight. If he was picked up younger and trained on grappling and kicking he would have been a beast.

when the first video came out and went viral I was in middle school in south Florida, both his son's were in my school at the same time. I remember seeing Kimbo leaving the portables after a parent teacher meeting. Never forgot how excited we all were to see this living legend at the time. RIP Kevin Ferguson

When he got his offer for the UFC and he went to training and conditioning I know he was up there in age, but he worked hard he took it very serious and knew he had to do that to seal his name in fighting history. I was so excited when Kimbo got to ufc being that I watched all his videos when they came out on KZread as a kid and he was from Florida like me and I also loved fighting. We didn't get as much Kimbo as we wanted but we got enough to never forget him. 😞

I remember being in 5th/6th grade, youtube was just starting out, and seeing Kimbo's videos and showing all my friends. Im not even from US, Im from a small european country, thats how far this dudes name was known. What a legend that man Kimbo. Damn.

Mike Tyson was right. Kimbo got his clock cleaned once he went pro It really exposed his weaknesses as a fighter and in some ways his heart problem. You could see he got gassed way to soon for a guy who should have been in excellent cardio health. You could even see it some of his backyard fights. Tyson would have killed Kimbo in the ring. He obviously liked Kimbo enough to tell him the truth.

He actually doesnt really know how to box all that well, the guys he fought look like they've never been in a fight before, he would have gotten destroyed by just about any pro fighter which is exactly what we saw

Baseballs a bad comparison when the have a one dimensional position such as DH... that’s what Kimbo is he got in way to late to learn takedown defense and kicks ... but bare knuckle fighting is way different than boxing ... most of them boxers couldn’t take a real punch ... imagine if Tyson did bare knuckle he’d probably have bodies on his resume instead of KO’s.

I was being polite when I said he didnt really know how, he didnt know anything about fighting,, watching him pretend to know what he was doing was painful and the people around him made very sure he never got in the ring with an actual fighter, and we he did, he got knocked the fuck out by an amateur wrestler in 13 seconds... if you think Kimbo could fight, then you're living in a fantasy world, he got the crap kicked out of him by some of the lowest talent anyone could find. His fight with dada is universally considered the funniest worst fight ever

@@rhetrochips9471 C'mon Kimbo was a street brawler, not a technical fighter. He never had to fight technically. By the time he got in a ring he was already old, never stood a chance and never would have against kickers and wrestlers or in a fight lasting 15 minutes. What he had was street brawling bare knuckle and should have stuck to it like Tyson said, just for views.

He was the first fighter I knew when I started watching streets fight and the next day he became a pro. Rest in Heaven Sir KS!
