Would the sign not have been more appropriate if it said "Home of the UFC" instead of "Home of UFC" Sounds like some dyslexic kid wrote it..

@WizardOfPov It's too long, One of the first things you learn in advertising is to make things short and simple. That why most of the biggest brands in the world have them.NFL,NBA,NHL,WWE etc. More people would recognize "UFC" than even "The Ultimate Fighting Championship". Its a psychological thing. Marketing is not just about getting the message out. Its about delivery and making the consumer not have to think as much lol Its why people say MMA instead of Mixed martial arts. Even tho you know what both mean, you choose to say MMA because it takes less effort :D People tend to take notice in things that aren't too complicated. Then once you take the bait, then you start educating yourself more on the history of the product. Trust me man these people know what they are doing, Its actually a bit scary how much they understand about how the human brain works lol I think i did a good job in explaining my view :D. *Pats himself n the back*

TruthStartsNow3 its not advertising or marketing though lol, they're not trying to sell anything to anyone. it's a sign/(feature?) inside the arena letting people know it's the home of the UFC. my point was.. UFC = Ultimate Fighting Championship currently it says "Home of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)". Doesnt really make sense.. thats not the way your taught to write anyway. it should read "Home of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)" I'm not implying to use the full terminology on the sign, but understand what UFC actually stands for and that not having "the" on there sounds stupid.

@WizardOfPov Clearly you dont know anything about advertising or brand extension. Everything that has the UFC on it is advertising and marketing. Regardless if you view it as its original purpose or not. You're missing the point, iv already told you more people know the UFC logo than they would know Ultimate Fighting Championship. Why would they use something that less people can relate to. UFC rarely EVER uses Ultimate Fighting Championship on any type of advertising, They always use just "UFC" for the reasons iv said above. You are just looking at it from your point of view. UFC looks at everything from another point of view,a business and brand extension point of view. And on you last point iv already answered.

One of the reasons the UFC is having trouble selling tickets nowadays is because the prices at the new T-Mobile Arena are way more expensive than they were in the past. Ticket prices were more affordable at the MGM Grand Arena, Mandalay Bay Events Center and the Hard Rock.

What happens when an NBA team moves to Vegas which is inevitable to happen in the future?

What exactly does this mean, they won't be having events in any other Las Vegas arena? So what? It's not that much bigger than the MGM Grand so I really wouldn't say it's that much of a big deal. MGM Arena holds 16,800 and the T-Mobile Arena holds 20,000. If this new arena held at least twice as much as the MGM Grand, then it'd be a bigger deal. But a few more thousand seats? Please. UFC does way too many shows in Vegas as it is. They need to start taking their bigger shows on the road more often. Give people outside of Vegas a chance to go to a big event in their home state for a change.

No. But if they do hold an event in Vegas, it now ONLY will be at the T-Mobile Arena. That's what this deal is about. No more shows in casinos, if UFC hold a card in Vegas it will be in this arena. Meaning, no more "small" cards in Vegas like the ones they used to have in the cosmopolitan, and/or fights at the MGM.

Ok so the UFC is going all big corporate- well they had better listen to what the fans want or the thing will sink in a few years if they make it shitty and don't have great fights like Woodley vs. Thompson all the time. Also, like some other guy pointed out- why not a shout out to all the eses who built that arena? These mahagony row bubble boys are out of touch whereas Dana is more of a street man and in touch with his audience better. If they ever boot Dana then his thing will defintiely go to shit and fast.
