The Ultimate Fighter: Team McGregor vs Team Faber - Conor's Speech

Спорт

This is exactly what needs to be said, Conor nailed it on the head. These fighters are here for themselves, this is not a team sport. Also correct about them being in shape already and being in the TUF gym is just to stay loose for the fights here and now. Damn, and people hate McGregor?...lol.

***** I understand he may be annoying, but it shouldn't effect people personally. I personally find him to be hilarious when he is being "disrespectful". Not to mention this is the fight business, being respectful doesn't always pay off for fighters. Look at McGregor, he's like the Donald Trump of MMA, he hardly did anything yet receives attention/money like he has had the real belt for years. That is what happens, so don't hate the player hate the game.

***** You're obviously upset. And at something you have no control over. Just sit back and watch what happens. If you're really that annoyed though maybe don't watch stuff that he is a part of. I don't get all you haters who do nothing but talk shit on McGregor, get a life.

I wouldnt go that far.. Bruce Lee during his time was a savage. But todays top level fighters, best example being Conor because his base is more traditional, yet extremely unorthadox. A prime Bruce Lee against Conor now, bruce would look very confused with todays martial arts if he was just thrown into the octagon. Besides, his movies exagerated his abilities. Conor would beat him.. He's more known for his mindset and philosophy. The guy was a genious.

+MrNateMCM Bruce Lee is not just a martial artist but a street fighter. He used his skills in his acting career. But If he focussed on training for a fight , he would beat mcgregor. You can see it in Bruce's eyes - he is a killer. Bruce Lee was always looking to improve his fighting. The original mma fighter because he never believed one fighting style was the best.

I respect the hell out of what hes done, even if hes not the greatest fighter on the planet he takes fights on short notice, he fights anybody, any weight class and most of all he gives the fans the fights they want. He doesnt take long stretches off, hes always relevant.

Connor is a great teacher. When we hear his speech we can see a sort of similarities with the speeches of other fighting legends such a Bruce Lee etc. Great lessons, no lies, leading from the front, teaching what others don't teach.. For these legends loyalty, integrity and discipline are built in them..every legends have something is common especially in their ethos and thoughts. That makes them special and different from common man. That makes them stand out from the croud. That makes them more focused and achieve what ever they dream..an inspiration to all.. 😍❤️😘

That is the most real talk I've ever heard (or have had the 'privilege or honor' of hearing I should say). It is the bottom-line and it resounded nothing other than the TRUTH. What adds to its great value is that it was for & about each fighter as an individual and it came with & from HEART. [I use the word 'heart' as I would define it in conjunction with strong will, experiential knowledge & wisdom, and ancestral truth... Iron heart, Warrior mentality.]

I can't say enough about this little huddle, so to speak, yet huge as far as it's impact...(perhaps the fighters could agree or would have if I'd posted around the time the video was posted). Conor could've said anything with some lame ass agenda of sounding good or showing off, but he didn't, and that, in and of itself is profound in my opinion. Thank you Conor for being a real, true man without pretense and a coach that is a true sportsman.

This is the most real advice someone could give. The fact that they're all on Team Europe really is irrelevant. Say what you want about Conor's antics, but during his prime he was as mentally sharp as they come when it came to the actually fighting itself

he tells people the truth he knows everyone else is just out to be the best and he's making sure it starts now not after tuf where people in the same team would backstab each other like TJ

Connor you couldn't stress that better enough , mma is a individual sport , why are people adopting the whole usa vs Europe thing? in the end just a few people get the contract and the rest fades away into oblivion

The UFC, and really MMA in general, has never had a football/soccer styled approach to this type of human resource management. Ever. Until Conor, a different way of doing things predominated. But as someone like me who watches and makes a habit of profiling managers in other sports, I see nothing in this that wouldn't be said to a 3rd division side, in any sport, that wants to get better. So refreshing to see this, and I think more MMA camps/teams/crews/etc. would do well to emphasize this a bit. At least at the pro/semi-pro level.
