The first few rounds Jones wasn't throwing any headkicks (opted for body kicks), i think it was intentional just to throw off DC and it worked DC went to block down low and Jones caught him high with the headkick. Great win by Jones and i think GOAT in my opinion.

GALS1_16 Me either, I thought it would go to decision, but DC was pushing the pace until the 3rd. I kept thinking unless it's a kick, he's not going down. Since he ate Rumbles shot. Tbh I felt like Jon could've pulled a Diaz and just tapped with that long ass reach. He was game tho for the clinch. And that 3rd he came out ready to finish. Glad it was decisive this time.

DC should have had his hands up he got tricked by the body kicks. Aka when you get in the rhythm of blocking low kicks you open high. His other hand should have been up and he should have brushed all of his body kicks. When you're at this level you cannot afford to make mistakes. But it is what it is. DC needs to learn that there is always some better. You can't beat everyone.

Seeing Jon with the belt again just feels right and doesn't look out of place. At this point, I really do believe Daniel is the second best in that weight division after seeing how much he improved in this fight. Haven't been this interested in the UFC since McGregor and Diaz. It's time for Jon to pick back up where he left off.

I gotta say that Jones handled himself very well after the fight. Although I was pulling for DC because he's a tough sob and seems like a good dude, Jones has shown great character through all his adversity.

All DC needed was couple of inches to his reach and he could have finished Bones. Respect to Bones and DC for a great fight. I feel bad for DC, I was rooting for him but at the same time I now feel happy for Bones to see that he has turned a dark corner and walked into light. Good luck to both. I suppose DC goes to heavyweight now. Let's see.

DC was taking the fight to Jones, I had it 1-1. That was a roough finish, Big John probably could have done a bit better but I get it. Devastated for DC, stoked for Jones. This is what being an fan is about. Huge respect to both men.

DC crying is all of us, Jones winning his belt back is all of us. everyone of us here has had the same experience whether not in the octagon but with an adversary that was too much for us. we gave it everything we had, and we won our glory back. This fight is a lesson to anyone going thought the same feelings. This fight will go down in combat sports history as one of the greatest of all time.

Despite Cormier losing twice to Jones, a part of me still wants to see them go a third time. Like Jones said he really elevated his game and had Jones feeling uncomfortable in many points during the fight. He got surprised and he got caught, that's how this sport works. But it was pretty even up until that point. And with this loss he's been able to let go of this feeling that he can't lose the rematch or his legacy means nothing. But he just had his biggest fear turn into reality, so if he's faced his biggest fear, what's he gotta worry about now? A clear mind in fighting is just as important as talent itself. Ask Jose Aldo about it
