BuT SiX dAyS, Usman also only had six days and was training for a different fighter. If this fight happens again, Usman knocks him out, especially since Trevor Whitman is improving his striking a lot. Quit hating and appreciate this mans greatness.

Colby beats him easily and derails the hype train. Obviously when you look at it like that, he would rather face Usman. Lose, but get paid....plus there is always the puncher's chance of a belt. Another way to look at it is, if he loses to Usman, he can still fall back to Colby and Leon. But if he loses to Colby and Leon, the Usman fight slips away. Masvidal is just strategizing. Trying to find the best way to milk his talent. He is not top five in this division!

you can see the emotion on Usman after fighting a friend and knowing how it feels to want to be champion and having to take that from him, especially after years of training together to help eachother get to this point.

I mean I made the same jokes but we've known all along how good usman is, his fight style just doesnt cater to the casuals when he goes into full control wrestling mode. The dominance/control he showed in the T-Wood and masvidal fight was incredibly impressive but unfortunately those fights get discounted by fans who just want to see fighters take big risks or stand and bang for 25min.

But Marty acts like he's going to finish him, while he didn't do any kind of damage in the first fight and got badly injured in his face, that he needed plenty of time to recover and couldn't even take the fight against Burns in December. Will he beat Masvidal (with his wrestling)? Probably. Will he finish him? No way.

I get the sense Masvidal doesn’t wanna fight Colby and probably now Usman after this fight. I think his best option is to fight Colby first and if he wins or at least put on a great performance, he can then fight Usman. Something tells me that may not play out like it probably should. We’ll see.

@Khal Drogo I forgot about the Nate fight. I guess that tells me that I don’t really care for that fight compared to a Colby or Usman fight. I like Masvidal, but he’s gotta make a move on one of the top 2 fighters (Colby/Usman) who are calling him out. I wanna see just how good Masvidal really is cause I know he’s a really good striker. We’ll see.
