Khabib was even more emotional when he fought Connor and he was more dangerous if anything. I don't think Colby's style can take advantage of an overly aggressive Leon. Sure he can get takedowns and grind him down but he's not a knockout artist who can make Leon pay heavily like other fighters could. I may be wrong, but let's see.

@@eduardoherrera2602 I won't lie; I also thought that was a possibility. But, I think Colby is overrated, and Leon is underrated. Colby lost so many fans fighting that way; it was his last chance. He should have been reckless from round 3. To say he won the fight makes him come off as a clown. He could do that in the two fights with Usman because they were fun and competitive, but this was the easiest 4-1 scorecard you could have.

The way Rogan calls up the fighters during weigh-ins is enough to make sure he's a part of these fights until 2039 at least.

I agree with the Conor Aldo comparison to an extent, problem is Colby doesn't have KO power. He's playing a dangerous game of using psychological warfare because it can easily backfire, either he has broken Leon at the subconscious level in which he will doubt himself or fight with emotion. The flip side is he is determined and focused and sticks to his game plan which given the second Usman fight it means Colby will struggle with the taller, stronger and more accurate fighter.

@@DeterminedFCthe difference is Conor khabib, khabib didn’t even react to this extent. To refer to it even at the weighs in shows that it may affected him a bit more than should and he would want to fight emotionally.
