Some ppl dont like him talking negatively abt their fave fighters, some dont like his bluntness and some dont like him swearing, some are simply jealous of his success etc etc and the list goes on.. Personally I like him a lot and he's extremely accessible for someone of his stature. Also find his interviews very interesting plus without him, interest in MMA wouldnt be so high/popular especially in the part of the world i live in..:)

Dana is nothing but a promoter. That is ALL. Nothing else. His opinion of GSP is like yours and mine. Its like Don King telling you his opinion of GSP. GSP wanted a break from fighting. He retired from fighting. And now is saying what he wants to say because Dana did not approve of what he wanted to say. As he said here. No one can say anything that goes against him because he has a grudge against them. Dana has no little emotional control, fundamentally and just gets upset for such tinny little things. It is just immature.

***** tell me what company lets or encourage their employees to talk negatively about them publicly? I've worked in 3 companies and I can't imagine myself getting away with talking publicly about the negatives of the company who pays my salary plus drug tests are not decided by UFC, they only pay for it. The Athletic Commission decides it and they already admit that UFC is willing to pay for any or all drug tests. The problem is MMA fans just like to jump on Dana's faults. Sure he make mistakes but so what? His contribution to the sport is enormous and I as an MMA fan who resides outside of USA, appreciates what he's done and all these petty dramas behind the scenes is just a bit annoying tbh. GSP could have said this when he left (he shouldnt be worried of the "consequences", UFC needs him more than he needs UFC) but only said it now. Anyway, u have your opinion and I have mine so peace :)

Defeated the alleged #1 P4P guy with east 2 times in a row and likely ended his career. If he beats Belfort, who has been destroying everyone, then yeah...you could certainly make that case.

ChalkTalkTV Just bc he beat the former P4P king doesnt automatically make him the P4P king. Anderson earned that by defending his belt MANY times, but his age finally caught up with him. Weidman has a long road ahead of him before hes the P4P. Jones has beat a whos who of MMA legends, including Belfort, and is far more deserving of #1. So are the other fighters i mentioned who have been defending their titles much longer than Weidman.

It's all opinion. If someone thinks Weidman is in that discussion, they are entitled to it.

What Dana said about being at a live UFC is 110% true. TV yeah its cool. When you sit and watch these fights live its incredible. The atmosphere is great. I was there when Randy Couture hit Tim Sylvia with and overhand and knocked him down in Columbus Ohio and 19,000 people all at once jumped up and made a noise that you can't recreate on purpose. It was incredible.

Dana it wasn't a freak accident so stop trying to protect your hype of Silva. He isn't coming back and going to be champ again. Deal with it. Also it's not a freak accident. Weidman checked it and it broke Silva's leg. If Weidman didn't check it then it would have hurt his leg.

I use to think Chris Weidman would get destroyed by Silva and fade into unknown. But since iv grown alot of respect for Weidman and acknowledge his accomplishments of beating Silva twice. If Weidman beats Belfort, i dont think he should be P4P 1 but P4P 2-3.

Fight Pass sucks right now. I don't know where he has been getting his feedback from but it has had problems with streaming, limited content, a lot of the same content is found on multiple places, it can randomly log you out after a while, and the formatting is a bit confusing.

Dana gives Barao so much credit for going undefeated for 8 years, Jose Aldo has also gone 8 years.

As much as I want to see Anderson Silva come back I want to see TJ Grant come back. That dude earned his title shot, it was there for him but an injury took that away. Silva has been there he was at the top and he has changed his life like he said. That is awesome but I hope TJ Grant comes back and gets his title shot he fought for and earned. Josh Thomson was 1-1 in 2012, has one fight in 2013 and now is fighting for a title shot that he had (because Grants injury) before Pettis was sidelined with an injury himself.

I'm assuming TJ Grant is badly injured considering he isn't being mentioned in the LW belt discussion? I knew he got injured but I wasn't sure how bad it was.

Dana, I think you had an idea you should try to add to the UFC Blogs or Fox Sports Shows, you could Record Big Deal Fights, and Play the tape or audio on tv.

I thought the UFC started in 1992 not 1993. Last time I checked, the first fight took place in Denver. I know this little fact because my birth year is 1992 so it's kind of hard to forget that petty connection.

Where's the GSP part?

I like how honest dana is. gsp was wrong about the testing stuff, ufc straight up said they would pay for all testing. others didn't want to do it. it wasn't the ufc organization that didn't want to. and gsp should have said more before hand if he felt so bad about everything. theirs way more freedom in ufc than any other major sport. just look at NFL or NBA you can't say anything or they'll fine you and whatever else! Secondly: the check is what broke silva's leg it's, not really a freak accident it's a matter of checking with your knee on his shin, and the opponent kicking with any real force. it's probably the most common break, at least one of the most. i trained for about 3 years and i seen 3 of these 2 by the same dude, it was just how he checked kicks. the knee really hurts when you kick it, especially when they really check you right! it makes sense that it breaks so many legs. if you don't believe me try it for yourself, but don't blame me if you brake your let!

If Anderson Silva fights Roy Jones Jr., it would mean he's promoting boxing. So I don't think that fight is going to happen. Unless Roy Jones Jr. fights the MMA way.

I remember how pissed I was when Google+ rammed it's cock up the youtube comment section's ass making it a huge chore to comment and leave reply's. Didn't take me long to remember how exhausting this section could be though.

hmmmm could gsp be the first biggie to jump ship? as of right now, there's no promotion that can touch the ufc simply because of fighter name recognition. when the ufc had to release its worth is now estimated at 2 billion, strange things started to happen like some of the guys from the old days like shamrock, miletich, tito etc started doing interviews about how they got ripped off. whats stopping someone like gsp himself or anyone in the inner circle of fighters to organize everyone and shake the ufc to its core by taking some of its stars. the question is how many fighters would get on board. then, how many fighters that will draw ppv numbers do you have. obviously this is where the plan usually falls apart because the really big guys arent going anywhere for obvious reasons. but when you start with gsp, who knows who would jump. factor in that life in dana' kingdom with joe silva sitting on his toilet deciding who fights who with no input from the fighters themselves and the "feeling" that if you refuse one of silva' superfights you're not getting any hugs from dana any time soon, and i bet alot of fighters would go if they knew they were a part of a group. belator would be the obvious choice. all you would need is some fellas with gordon gecko cash to invest and granted you have the fighters, the ppv and reality stuff cash already established by the ufc would start rolling in. the point is, before they had to release the 2 billion number and reporters would ask why a boxer was getting 30 or so million for a fight, dana would slide into his song and dance about mma just starting up and its inability to compete with boxing in the big cash game. then the figure comes out and rightfully so fighters past and present are looking for their piece. obviously dana will never budge because why should he, they cant go anywhere else and make the same money and get the same exposure for endorsements. gsp could be like the jimmy hoffa of the mma world lol

Chris isn't number 1 P4P and Dana White knows it. I can think of plenty of people who earned that spot, 11-0 with ONE title defense doesn't make you the number 1 P4P best fighter in the world no matter how you look at it. Dana is just trying to hype Weidman up to make more PPV money off of him. Great fighter no doubt, but he isnt even top 5 P4P, Jon Jones, Renan Barao, Jose Aldo, Anderson Silva, Demetrius Johnson and even Cain Velasquez are all above Weidman on the P4P list.

Weidman isnt #1 p4p yet, when he has beaten Belfort, Machida/Mousasi, Jacare and Rockhold then he will be.

completely fucking agree.UFC 168 post fight some lady from Goodhousekeeping asked the fighters their "favorite rooms" in the TUF house.my god,did you see what they just went through?do you know where you are at?Some mag flew her there,and got her a coveted spot to ask the fighters right after the fight-and its a question like that.Besides that it feels like places just send their "sports guy" instead of a real MMA aficianado /fan.

I like Dana White but I hate when he does this shit. GSP takes two hard beatings in his last two fights and doesn't want brain damage so Dana acts all pissed that he wants time off. I understand he wants George right back in the ring so he can make a shit ton of money off the card but still ya gotta look out for the fighters a bit too.

I don't really see how Weidman is p4p with only 10 or 11 fights but ok.. And everyone keeps jumping over each other about the "who's p4p best" "what's the rankings" how about just stick them all the cage at the same time and the one that makes it out alive is p4p? ok? ok.

he said the same old response a few days later that he wasn't quite all the way there at the press conference when he commented but he came out on a Canadian sports show and stated that he admits Hendricks got the best of him and he pulled one out with the decision... its one of the few times I respected gsp when he could admit that he lost

I agree....Dana is the man..Without him MMA will die its slow death....His Marketing Skills are amazing...He took a sport with no base and in less than 5 years made it one of the most PPV'ed sport on the planet... People do not understand this... even Microsoft, Google, Oracle took more time to shine than UFC...UFC is the biggest success story for anyone interested in Marketing of this half decade....There is simply no sport, organisation, corporation that rose so fast into the public domain than UFC...due to Dana

its all well and good being in a billion homes but there is noway in hell that billion people watch the ufc that would work out at around 1 in every 7 people on the planet. i would love to know the worldwide number of fans but i bet its around 50-100 million it could be less but even still that is good if consitent viewers.
