Accidentally or deliberately, either way, that only happened because of that awkward stop and restart. Jamhal stops and stands completely upright to apologize, and at the same time, Alex takes 2 hops forward and waves off Herb. So now the spacing is different, and Jamahal is jammed up. Alex steps on his foot and we all know the rest. I like both fighters. I saw it live, and it just didn't feel clean.

He’s just incredibly technical and precise. He knows when to throw. I mean look at the end of the first round against Jiri, Jiri started coming in with punches during the final seconds and Alex capitalized on the fact that Jiri let his guard down. Precision, long reach and crazy power is what makes Alex so good.

Not only that, you can see here that jamal throws the first punch by a few milliseconds but still, he was engaging just like alex, it was just akex was faster and got to the target first. No the ref was actually in my way of seeing the other coach to my right could see what happen. And in Mals defense everyone keeps saying he was ready he isn't saying that he's saying since they were not both pushed backed before a restart that it made me move in the wrong direction that it made him make a mistake he admits that but everyone thinks he saying he got blindsided or something and not even close to what he means. He moved back and to the left which is a big no in my system for a lefty you only move to the right and if you go left it must have a purpose not to do move it puts you in a position to get hit with the most options by your opponent. He put himself in the worst postion possible which gave Alex a great position and angle to throw the hook along with Mal throwing his left which he never does once again from that angle mistakes were made he admits that but only saying the stoppage made him make them and he would have never been there to be hit if that didn't happen.
