@@rawswisher43 he doesnt deserve respect as a champion. He will forever have an asterisk next to his name and its because he hasnt put in nearly as much work into his craft as the other fighters. Hes just very blessed. He hasnt been through the ultimate fighter, he never earned any stripes before the ufc and he is a shitty fucking person My opinion of him in the beginning was the same as everyone elses when i wasnt into the sport and hes just on tv as "the best", but then i realized the ufc is gonna walk this mfr around like the jordan of their sport and hes roided up to the teeth and has numerous charges and run ins with the law that would have ended any other fighters career . FUCK THAT you gotta see where im coming from on that man, do you play sports or work hard? It sucks to see people lile this at the top

Victor Peña Nobody cares... when you won 5 rounds and only become 1 punch which destroy your nose you will give the fight to the fighter which only land 1 punch in the whole fight? Gus won 2-3 clearly and Jones 4-5 1 is 50-50 Funny enough is that jones was on steroids and won only 4-5 because his gased out... Gus1 Santos and Reyes 3 fights which was 50/50 all become Jones... and this person is called the GOAT? Maybe GOAT or peds and steroids but not more

@TAKEDOWN Jones didn't pop in this fight plus when he did pop it was for pico-grams which if you know anything about PED's you'd know that pico-grams are so small they won't affect performance plus the second time he popped it was for a carryover drug and wouldn't have affected performance as confirmed by USADA how was his fight with Santos a draw when Jones landed more sig strikes in almost every round except the first I'll admit the fight with Reyes was real close could've gone either way especially when you factor in Jon's 2 takedowns but even the GOAT's like GSP and Silva have losses on their records so again that argument is invalid

It was a stormy day when I watched this fight. I really thought Gustafsson was gonna win because his takedown defense, striking and takedowns were impressive but Jones showed everyone that he is champion and walked away with the title still in his hands by decision. It's been almost 7 yrs. when this fight happened and I still remember it clearly. I'm really glad it finally earned its rightful place in the UFC Hall of Fame 2020. Congratulations!

This fight is one of my favorites...straight up war no doubt by two outstanding warlords.

That fight was amazing; it still gives me goosebumps. Although all of you may not like Jon or Alex, or may not agree with me, but those two are amazing fighters. Those two deserve to be in Hall of Fame.

Everyone would agree that this was an amazing fight, whilst some would say it was a great robbery. Still, very well deserved to be in the UFC HoF!

No that was no robbery jones was taking damages and also damaging his opponent a gr8 fight but Reyes fight was totally different look at gus and check out reyes after fight .. jones is not the same and reyes won that fight that one was Robert even the expressions tell you the whole story .. check out jones reaction when bruce buffer announces the winner in both fights to will understand .. here jones is confident but in reyes fight he was standing wondering and worried ..

I rewatched this fight. At the end of round 4 they showed "head strikes landed" Gustafson had the lead 88-18 not to mention all the body strikes an leg strikes Gustafson landed. I see no way jon won any of the first 3 rounds

@James Franko we know that jon jones has the skill and IQ of a great fighter. But when you failed 3 drug tests, positive on roids and peds. It hurts the reputation of the fighter. But we have to give the credit where credit is due. Jon Jones is great. But he will never be on Goat status. Some say he will some say he wont. Its up to your own understanding.

@James Franko James Franko technically for me he is great and skilled. I admire the man. For all his hardwork and everything hes done on the cage. But lets just assume that he didnt use any roids or peds. He wouldve been the greatest or 1 of the greatest. But as i said. The roids and peds thing hurt his reputation and also from the hit and run incident . Im still a fan tho.

That not how fights are determined. Those first three where super close on the scoring while the last 2 where heavily in the favor of Jones. Had the fight gone on another round or 2 Jones would've finished him. And IMO that weighs a lot more on the scoring.

@@Explicitghost well, you are wrong my friend. To win a fight in ufc you have to have more rounds in your favor than your opponent or to finish him/her. You compete by round and nothing else matters like Jones looked good the last two rounds (which he did). Unless it is a 10-8 round.. Don't come with that "if this was a street fight..." and this is not the old pride rules. Gus maybe put his game plan to go all in the first 3 rounds, and just cruise the last two. That's why most people think Reyes won against Jones...

That first half is how it usually is scored. Going off on the first 3 rounds id say 1 to gus and 2-3 where very close and could have on either way. The last 2 where 100% Jones. That is why he won.

Romero should not get another title shot it's enough.. last 5 fights 4 title fights for romero 😂
